Abstract

Fenomena Marriage is Scary menjadi tren yang merepresentasikan ketakutan generasi muda terhadap pernikahan. Ketakutan ini muncul karena berbagai faktor, seperti tekanan ekonomi, besarnya tuntutan mahar, kekhawatiran akan kekerasan dalam rumah tangga, hingga kegagalan memilih pasangan yang tepat. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kepustakaan atau library research yang menggunakan Bulughul Maram karya Ibnu Hajar Al- Asqalani sebagai sumber data primer. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menganalisis hadits-hadits pernikahan dalam kitab tersebut sebagai tawaran solusi terhadap berbagai ketakutan dalam tren Marriage is Scary. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa melalui hadits-hadits dalam Bulughul Maram, Islam telah mengatur pembagian peram suami istri secara adil, menganjurkan kesederhanaan dalam mahar dan walimah, serta menekankan pentingnya memilih pasangan berdasarkan agama dan akhlak. Dengan demikian, pemahaman yang benar terhadap ajaran Islam dapat menjadi jawaban bagi generasi muda dalam menghadapi ketakutan terhadap pernikahan. ***** The Marriage is Scary phenomenon has become a trending concern that reflects the fear of marriage among the younger generation. This fear arises from various factors, such as financial pressure, high demands for dowry (mahr), concerns about domestic violence, and anxiety over choosing the wrong partner. This study is a qualitative research using a library research approach, with Bulughul Maram by Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani as the primary data source. The purpose of this research is to analyze hadiths on marriage in the book as a proposed solution to the various fears embedded in the Marriage is Scary trend. The analysis shows that through the hadiths in Bulughul Maram, Islam has fairly defined the roles of husband and wife, promoted simplicity in mahr and wedding feasts (walimah), and emphasized the importance of choosing a partner based on faith and character. Therefore, a proper understanding of Islamic teachings can offer answers for the younger generation in confronting their fear of marriage
