Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of mental health literacy and perceived public stigma on professional help-seeking intention in early adulthood in Jabodetabek. This study uses a quantitative method, with multiple linear regression analysis techniques. The subjects in this study were early adults aged 20-40 years and domiciled in Jabodetabek with a total of 149 respondents. In selecting the sample, a non-probability sampling technique with a convenience sampling type was used. There are three instruments used in this study, namely the TPB Questionnaire, Mental Health Literacy Scale, and Perception of Stigmatization by Others for Seeking Professional Help. The results of this study indicate that mental health literacy and perceived public stigma together influence the intention to seek professional help (p <0.05). Partially, mental health literacy has a significant effect on the intention to seek professional help, while perceived public stigma does not show a significant effect. These results indicate that improving mental health literacy is important to encourage individuals to seek professional help and show that individual perceived public stigma have not become an obstacle in seeking professional help for early adults in this context.
