Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya hasil belajar dan kurangnya keaktifan siswa dalam pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (IPS) di kelas VII G SMP Negeri 167 Jakarta. Kondisi tersebut menuntut penerapan strategi pembelajaran yang mampu meningkatkan pemahaman konsep sekaligus mendorong keterlibatan aktif peserta didik. Sebagai solusi, penelitian ini menerapkan model pembelajaran Numbered Heads Together yang mendorong kerja sama kelompok dan tanggung jawab individu dalam memahami materi. Metode yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) kolaboratif selama tiga siklus, dengan tahapan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Keberhasilan tindakan diukur berdasarkan target Indikator Pencapaian Hasil (IPH) di atas 80% dan nilai Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKTP) sebesar 78. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, pada siklus I ke siklus II, hasil belajar mengalami peningkatan sebesar 13,89%. Pada siklus III, hasil belajar juga mengalami peningkatan sebesar 8,33% dibanding dengan siklus sebelumnya. Keaktifan siswa dalam bertanya, menjawab, dan berdiskusi juga meningkat secara bertahap. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa model NHT efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar dan partisipasi siswa dalam pembelajaran IPS./*****This research was motivated by low learning outcomes and lack of student engagement in Social Studies (IPS) learning in class VII G of SMP Negeri 167 Jakarta. This situation demands the implementation of learning strategies that can improve conceptual understanding while encouraging active student engagement. As a solution, this study implemented the Numbered Heads Together learning model, which encourages group collaboration and individual responsibility in understanding the material. The method used was collaborative Classroom Action Research (CAR) over three cycles, with stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The success of the action was measured based on the target of the Outcome Achievement Indicator (IPH) above 80% and a Minimum Completion Criteria (KKTP) score of 78. The results showed that from cycle I to cycle II, learning outcomes increased by 13.89%. In cycle III, learning outcomes also increased by 8.33% compared to the previous cycle. Student activeness in asking, answering, and discussing also gradually increased. These findings indicate that the NHT model is effective in improving learning outcomes and student participation in IPS learning.
