Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh father involvement terhadap penyesuaian akademik mahasiswa baru. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan menggunakan analisis regresi linear sederhana. Metode pengambilan data dalam penelitian ini adalah kuesioner melalui media google form. Teknik sampling yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu convenience sampling. Jumlah responden penelitian ini adalah 219 mahasiswa baru semester dua yang berkuliah di Jabodetabek dengan rentang 18-21 tahun. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengukur variabel penyesuaian akademik yaitu Academic Adjustment Scale (AAS) yang peneliti adaptasi dan pada variabel father involvement menggunakan Inventory of Father Involvement yang di adaptasi oleh peneliti. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan antara father involvement terhadap penyesuaian akademik mahasiswa baru dengan kontribusi pengaruh sebesar 5.5%. Hal ini memberi makna bahwa semakin tinggi father involvement, maka semakin tinggi pula penyesuaian akademik mahasiswa baru. ***** This study aims to determine the influence of father involvement on the academic adjustment of new college students. This study is quantitative study using simple linear regression analysis. The data collection method in this study was a questionnaire through google form. The sampling technique used in this study is convenience sampling. The number of respondents in this study were 219 second semester college students studying in Jabodetabek with an age range of 18-21 years. The measuring instrument used to measure academic adjustment variable was the Academic Adjustment Scale (AAS) which was adapted by the researcher, and the father involvement variable was measured using the Inventory of Father Involvement adapted by the researcher. The results of this study indicate a positive and significant influence of father involvement on the academic adjustment of new college students, with an effect contribution of 5.5%. This indicates that the higher father involvement, the higher academic adjustment of new college students.
