Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan perilaku kontrol diri terhadap perilaku pembelian impulsif pada pengguna Shopee Paylater. Sampel dalam penelitian ditentukan dengan menggunakan teknik non probability sampling dengan jenis teknik purposive sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan sampel sebanyak 300 partisipan dengan karakteristik laki-laki dan perempuan berusia 18-39 tahun yang pernah atau sedang menggunakan Shopee Paylater. Variabel pembelian impulsif diukur menggunakan impulsive buying tendency scale dengan nilai cronbach’s alpha sebesar 0,892 sedangkan variabel perilaku kontrol diri diukur dengan menggunakan Brief Self-Control Scale dengan nilai cronbach’s alpha sebesar 0,746. Hasil uji korelasi Spearman’s Rank Correlation diperoleh nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar -0,026 dengan nilai signifikansi sebanyak 0,648. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara perilaku kontrol diri dengan perilaku pembelian impulsif pada pengguna Shopee PayLater. Nilai signifikansi yang melebihi 0,05 menunjukkan bahwa hubungan antara kedua variabel bersifat lemah dan tidak bermakna secara statistik dalam konteks penelitian ini. Kata kunci: perilaku pembelian impulsif, perilaku kontrol diri , e-commerce, Shopee, Shopee PayLater. ***** This study aims to examine the relationship between self-control behavior and impulsive buying behavior among Shopee PayLater users. The sample was selected using a non-probability sampling method, purposive sampling. A total of 300 participants, both male and female, aged 18–39 years old who have used or are currently using Shopee PayLater, were involved in this study. The impulsive buying variable was measured using the Impulsive Buying Tendency Scale, which had a Cronbach’s alpha value of 0.892. Meanwhile, the self-control behavior variable was measured using the Brief Self-Control Scale, with a Cronbach’s alpha value of 0.746. The Spearman’s Rank Correlation test resulted in a correlation coefficient of -0.026 with a significance value of 0.648. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is no significant relationship between self-control behavior and impulsive buying behavior among Shopee PayLater users. The significance value exceeding 0.05 indicates that the relationship between the two variables is weak and statistically insignificant in the context of this study.
