Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh podcast Noice terhadap menganalisis unsur intrinsik dan kaidah kebahasaan teks drama di kelas VIII SMP Diponegoro 1 Jakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif eksperimen dengan desain penelitian Pre-test-Post-test Control Group Design. Sampel penelitian ini diambil dengan menggunakan teknik Simple Random Sampling sehingga terpilih kelas VIII C sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII B sebagai kelas kontrol dengan jumlah masing-masing kelas sebanyak 21 dan 26 siswa. Penelitian ini melibatkan dua kelas, yaitu kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan media podcast Noice dalam pembelajaran teks drama dan kelas kontrol yang tidak menggunakan media tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media podcast Noice memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap peningkatan kemampuan menganalisis teks drama. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan adanya peningkatan nilai rata-rata siswa kelas eksperimen dari 53 pada saat pre-test menjadi 79 pada saat post-test, atau terjadi peningkatan sebesar 26 poin. Uji normalitas pada pre-test dan post-test menunjukkan bahwa data dari kelas eksperimen maupun kelas kontrol berdistribusi normal, dengan nilai signifikansi lebih dari 0,05. Hasil uji homogenitas juga menunjukkan bahwa data memiliki varian yang homogen, dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,726 (> 0,05). Selanjutnya, hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan nilai signifikansi (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 (< 0,05), serta nilai thitung sebesar 3,903 yang lebih besar dari ttabel sebesar 2,001. Dengan demikian, hipotesis alternatif (H₁) diterima, sedangkan hipotesis nol (H₀) ditolak. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media podcast Noice secara signifikan berpengaruh terhadap keterampilan menganalisis unsur intrinsik dan kaidah kebahasaan teks drama pada siswa kelas VIII SMP Diponegoro 1 Jakarta. ***** This study aims to determine the effects of utilizing the Noice podcast as an instructional medium on students’ analytical skills in identifying intrinsic elements and linguistic features within drama texts. Employing a quantitative experimental method, the research design follows a pre-test-post-test control group model. The sample was selected through simple random sampling, assigning Class VIII C as the experimental group and Class VIII B as the control group, comprising 21 and 26 students, respectively. The experimental group received instruction using the Noice podcast, while the control group underwent conventional teaching methods without the integration of podcast media. The findings indicate a significant improvement in the experimental group’s performance, with the mean score increasing from 53 on the pre-test to 79 on the post-test, marking a gain of 26 points. Statistical analysis confirmed the normality of data distribution across both groups (significance > 0.05), and homogeneity of variance was also established (significance = 0.726 > 0.05). Hypothesis testing using an independent samples t-test yielded a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.000 (< 0.05), and a t-value of 3.903, which exceeds the critical t-table value of 2.001. Accordingly, the null hypothesis was rejected in favor of the alternative. These results substantiate that the integration of the Noice podcast exerts a statistically significant effect on enhancing students’ competence in analyzing the structural and linguistic dimensions of drama texts.
