Abstract

Grit merupakan kegigihan dan daya juang dalam meraih tujuan jangka panjang atau berusaha sungguh-sungguh dalam menangani tantangan, menjaga minat dan usaha dalam jangka waktu yang lama walaupun ketika adanya kendala, kegagalan, dan tidak mengalami kemajuan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh father involvement terhadap grit pada mahasiswa. Metode penelitian dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan pengambilan data menggunakan kuesioner kepada mahasiswa yang berkuliah di Jabodetabek, dengan responden berjumlah 316 mahasiswa yang terdiri dari 85 mahasiswa laki-laki dan 231 mahasiswa perempuan. Alat ukur yang digunakan untuk mengukur father involvement adalah Inventory of Father Involvement, sedangkan untuk mengukur grit adalah Grit Scale. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan analisis regresi linear sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa P value < 0.05 = 0.006 < 0.05 yang artinya bahwa terdapat pengaruh signifikan father involvement dengan grit pada mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menunjukkan hasil bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif father involvement terhadap grit pada mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan semakin besar tingkat father involvement maka semakin besar grit pada mahasiswa. ***** Grit is the persistence and fighting spirit in achieving long-term goals or trying hard to deal with challenges, maintaining interest and effort over a long period of time even when there are obstacles, failures, and no progress. This study aims to determine whether there is an influence of father involvement on grit in students. The research method in this study is quantitative with data collection using a questionnaire to students studying in Jabodetabek, with 316 respondents consisting of 85 male students and 231 female students. The measuring instrument used to measure father involvement is the Inventory of Father Involvement, while to measure grit is the Grit Scale. Hypothesis testing uses simple linear regression analysis. The results of the study showed that P value <0.05 = 0.006 <0.05, which means that there is a significant influence between father involvement and grit in students. This study shows that there is a positive effect of father involvement on grit in students. The results of this study show that the higher the level of father involvement, the higher the grit in students.
