Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh social comparison terhadap career decision making-self efficacy pada mahasiswa. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan analisis regresi linear berganda. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen Career Decision Making-Self Efficacy-Indonesian Version (CDMSE-Ind) oleh Arlinkasari, Rahmatika, & Akmal (2016), dan instrumen Expanded Iowa-Netherlands Comparison Orientation Measure-RG (EINCOM-RG) oleh Rose, dkk., (2024). Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah convenience sampling. Jumlah partisipan penelitian ini adalah 344 partisipan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh secara bersama-sama dimensi Non-directional SCO, Directional Upward SCO, dan Directional Downward SCO terhadap Career Decision Making-Self Efficacy. Secara parsial, dimensi Directional Downward SCO berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Career Decision Making-Self Efficacy. ***** This study aims to determine the effect of social comparison on career decision making-self efficacy among university students. The research method used a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression analysis. Data collection techniques utilized the Career Decision Making-Self Efficacy-Indonesian Version (CDMSE-Ind) instrument by Arlinkasari, Rahmatika, & Akmal (2016), and the Expanded Iowa-Netherlands Comparison Orientation Measure-RG (EINCOM- RG) instrument by Rose et al. (2024). The sampling technique used was convenience sampling. The number of participants in this study was 344 participants. The results of the study indicate that there is a combined influence of the Non-directional SCO, Directional Upward SCO, and Directional Downward SCO dimensions on Career Decision Making-Self Efficacy. Partially, the Directional Downward SCO dimension has a significant influence on Career Decision Making-Self Efficacy.
