Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas media pembelajaran video tutorial materi manatiang service terhadap pengetahuan mahasiswa Pendidikan Tata Boga Fakultas Teknik Universitas Negeri Jakarta.. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperimen, pada metode ini menggunakan desain penelitian Non-equivalent control group design. Sampel penelitian ini yaitu mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Tata Boga Universitas Negeri Jakarta, yang dibagi menjadi dua kelompok yaitu kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan pre-test dan post-test, serta angket respon mahasiswa. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis menggunakan uji univariat, bivariat, dan peningkatan pengetahuan. Hasil uji univariat diperoleh nilai thitung 9,17 > ttabel 2,06 pada kelompok eksperimen, pada kelompok kontrol diperoleh nilai thitung 6,69 > ttabel 2,06, artinya pada masing-masing kelompok nilai thitung > ttabel yang artinya pada masing-masing kelompok terdapat pengaruh pengetahuan mahasiswa sebelum dan sesudah diberi perlakuan. Hasil uji bivariat menghasilkan nilai thitung 3,16 > ttabel 2,00 yang artinya terdapat perbedaan rata-rata peningkatan pengetahuan mahasiswa, dengan skor peningkatan pengetahuan mahasiswa pada kelompok kontrol 28% dan pada kelompok eksperimen 45%, sehingga dapat disimpulkan peningkatan pengetahuan mahasiswa yang menggunakan media video lebih tinggi daripada peningkatan pengetahuan mahasiswa yang menggunakan media powerpoint. Hasil perhitungan angket respon mahasiswa mendapatkan hasil yang sangat efektif yaitu 93,39%, artinya penggunaan media video tutorial manatiang service efektif terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan mahasiswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media video tutorial manatiang service efektif meningkatkan pengetahuan mahasiswa pada mata kuliah Penataan dan Pelayanan Restoran. ***** This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the use of video media tutorial for manatiang service on increasing students' knowledge in restaurant layout and service course. The method used in this study is a quasi-experiment, in this method using a research design Non-equivalent control group design. The sample of this study is students of the Culinary Arts Education Program in State University of Jakarta, which are divided into two groups, namely the experimental group and the control group. Data collection in this study used pre-test and posttest tests, as well as student response questionnaires. The collected data was analyzed using univariate, bivariate, and knowledge improvement tests. The results of the univariate test obtained a tcal value of 9.17 > ttable 2.07 for the experimental group, in the control group a tcal value of 6.69 > ttable 2.07, meaning that in each group the tcal value was > ttable which means that in each group there was an increase in student knowledge before and after being treated. The results of the bivariate test produced a tcal value of 3.16 > table 2.01 which means that there was a difference in the average increase in student knowledge, with a score of 28% in the control group and 45% in the experimental group, so it can be concluded that the increase in student knowledge using video media is higher than the increase in student knowledge using powerpoint media. The results of the calculation of the student response questionnaire obtained a very effective result of 93.39%, meaning that students agreed that the use of video media tutorial for manatiang service was effective in increasing student knowledge. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that the use of video media tutorial for manatiang service was effective in increasing student knowledge in the restaurant layout and service course.
