Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kelekatan orang tua terhadap regulasi emosi pada mahasiswa rantau di Jabodetabek. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode regresi linear berganda. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah Emotion Regulation Questionnaire (ERQ) dan Inventory of Parent and Peer Attachment (IPPA). Sampel pada penelitian ini merupakan mahasiswa aktif sarjana, berusia 18-25 tahun, dan merantau ke Jabodetabek untuk berkuliah. Sampel pada penelitian ini sebanyak 194 mahasiswa dengan menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Analisis data menggunakan regresi linear berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh signifikan kelekatan orang tua terhadap strategi regulasi emosi reappraisal kognitif sebesar 13,6% dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000 (p<0,05). Secara parsial, terdapat pengaruh signifikan kelekatan ibu terhadap regulasi emosi dimensi reappraisal kognitif. Kata Kunci: kelekatan orang tua, regulasi emosi, mahasiswa rantau ***** This study aims to determine the influence of parental attachment on emotion regulation among overseas students in Jabodetabek. This study uses a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression methods. The measurements used in this study were the Emotion Regulation Questionnaire (ERQ) and the Inventory of Parent and Peer Attachment (IPPA). The sample consisted of active undergraduate students, aged 18–25 who migrated to Jabodetabek for their studies. A total of 194 students participated in this study using a purposive sampling method. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results of the study showed a significant influence of parental attachment on the cognitive reappraisal strategy of emotion regulation, with an effect size of 13.6% and a significance value of 0,000 (p<0,05). Partially, a significant influence was also found between mother attachment and the cognitive reappraisal dimension of emotion regulation.
