Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui ada atau tidak adanya pengaruh metode Case Based Learning (CBL) yang digunakan bersama dengan media Linktree pada keterampilan siswa kelas VIII SMP Al Washilah Jakarta untuk menulis teks ulasan. Untuk penelitian ini, menggunakan metode eksperimen desain Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Data yang diperoleh menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil sebelum dan sesudah penerapan metode Case Based Learning (CBL) dengan media Linktree. Pada kelas eksperimen, nilai pretest tertinggi tercatat sebesar 50 dengan rata-rata 41. Setelah perlakuan diberikan, nilai posttest tertinggi meningkat hingga 93 dan rata-ratanya naik menjadi 84. Selisih rata-rata sebesar 43 poin antara nilai pretest dan posttest. Berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis, diperoleh nilai signifikansi (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 yang lebih kecil dari 0,05 (0,000 < 0,05). Oleh karena itu, Ha diterima karena nilai signifikansi berada di bawah batas yang telah ditentukan, yang menunjukkan adanya pengaruh yang signifikan. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa metode Case Based Learning (CBL) yang didukung media Linktree dapat membantu siswa meningkatkan keterampilan menulis teks ulasan. Metode dan media ini juga memiliki potensi untuk diterapkan pada pembelajaran jenis teks lainnya, khususnya teks laporan hasil observasi. ***** The aim of this study is to determine whether there is an effect of the Case Based Learning (CBL) method, used in conjunction with the Linktree media, on the review text writing skills of Grade VIII students at SMP Al Washilah Jakarta. This research employed an experimental method using the Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The data obtained indicated a significant difference between the results before and after the implementation of the Case Based Learning (CBL) method with the Linktree media. In the experimental class, the highest pretest score was recorded at 50, with an average of 41. After the treatment was administered, the highest posttest score increased to 93, with an average score of 84. The difference in average scores between the pretest and posttest was 43 points. Based on the hypothesis test results, the significance value (2-tailed) was 0.000, which is smaller than 0.05 (0.000 < 0.05). Therefore, the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted, as the significance value falls below the predetermined threshold, indicating a significant effect. This demonstrates that the Case Based Learning (CBL) method supported by Linktree media can assist students in improving their review text writing skills. Furthermore, this method and media also have the potential to be applied to the teaching of other types of texts,particularly observational report texts.
