Abstract

Baru-baru ini pengguna media sosial di Indonesia dihebohkan dengan kembali naiknya berita mengenai etnis Rohingya yang berdatangan di Indonesia. Isu ini kembali naik dan menjadi perbincangan hangat warganet, tetapi masifnya pembicaraan ini didominasi oleh unggahan konten berita bohong Rohingya. Salah satu media sosial yang digunakan warganet dalam menyebarkan narasi kebencian adalah Facebook. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis unggahan konten berita bohong tentang Rohingnya yang berpotensi menimbulkan konsekuensi hukum, baik dalam bentuk takarir, teks dalam video, maupun gambar, menggunakan pendekatan linguistik forensik. Adapun metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kualitatif terhadap 27 unggahan Facebook terkait isu Rohingya dalam rentang tahun 2023-2024. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan 23 penemuan misinformasi dan 4 penemuan disinformasi dengan data yang ditemukan berupa teks takarir. Keseluruhan penemuan, baik yang masuk ke dalam kategori misinformasi maupun disinformasi berpotensi masuk ke dalam pelanggaran Undang-Undang Nomor 11 Tahun 2008 pasal 28 ayat 2 tentang Informasi dan Transaksi Elektronik. Hal ini berarti unggahan berita bohong tentang Rohingya yang diunggah dalam media sosial Facebook pada tahun 2023-2024 dari cenderung bertendensi adanya ketidak sengajaan atau ketidaktahuan dengan narasi kebencian dan politik. Persepsi ini mampu memicu public untuk memberikan sentiment kebencian terhadap etnis Rohingya. Kata kunci: Berita bohong, Rohingya, Facebook, Misinformasi, Disinformasi ***** In recent months, Indonesian social media users have been stirred by the resurgence of news concerning the arrival of Rohingya ethnic groups in the country. This renewed discourse has sparked widespread attention among netizens, much of which is dominated by the dissemination of hoax content related to the Rohingya. Facebook is among the primary platforms used to spread these hate-driven narratives. This study aims to hoax content regarding the Rohingya on Facebook that may lead to legal consequences, particularly in the forms of captions, embedded video texts, and images, using a forensic linguistic approach. The research adopts a qualitative method and examines 27 Facebook posts related to the Rohingya issue, published between 2023 and 2024. The findings reveal 23 instances of misinformation and 4 instances of disinformation, primarily manifested in the form of misleading captions. All instances—regardless of category—have the potential to violate Article 28, paragraph 2 of Indonesian Law No. 11 of 2008 concerning Electronic Information and Transactions (ITE Law). These results suggest that hoax content about the Rohingya circulating on Facebook tends to reflect not only ignorance or lack of verification but also intentional efforts to promote hate speech and political agendas. Such narratives may influence public perception and incite hostility toward the Rohingya ethnic group. Keywords: Hoax, Rohingya, Facebook, misinformation, disinformation
