Abstract

***** This study aims to design a fire safety learning program tailored for early childhood, particularly at Techno Park, as an effort to introduce the concept of fire safety from an early age. The program was developed by considering the cognitive development and characteristics of young children, and integrates elements aligned with the Merdeka Curriculum and national standards for early childhood education. The research adopts the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation), with a focus on the analysis, design, and development stages. The results show that the designed program can be implemented through interactive drama and a station-based (pos to pos) method, which includes introducing the benefits and dangers of fire, firefighting clothing and equipment, actions during a fire, fire trucks, evacuation actions such as Stop, Drop and Roll, crawling under smoke, and simulated fire extinguishing. The media used includes animated videos, interactive PowerPoints, flashcards, mini firefighter costumes, miniature fire trucks, and visual replicas of fire and smoke. Expert validations concluded that the program is feasible to implement with minor revisions. The study concludes that this play-based fire safety learning program, which provides hands-on experiences, can be an effective and enjoyable alternative for early childhood fire risk education.
