Abstract
Penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara keberfungsian keluarga dan resiliensi akademik terhadap kompetensi akademik siswa. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan metode survey, pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui kuesioner Indonesian Family Function Scale, berasal dari The original 33 items of the Shek’s Chinese Family Assessment Inventory (CFAI) sudah diadaptasi oleh Rahmi Lubis berisi lima aspek fungsi keluarga, yaitu, mutualitas, harmoni, komunikasi, kepedulian orang tua, dan kontrol orang tua. Resiliensi akademik diukur dengan skala Academic Resilience Scale adaptasi dari Cassdy, dengan aspek Peningkatan ketekunan, Peningkatan refleksi dan pencarian bantuan yang adaptif dan Peningkatan penghindaran afek negatif dan respons emosional, 30 item. Kompetensi akademik diukur dengan Academic Compentence Evaluation Scale yang di adaptasi dari James C. DiPerna sebanyak 65 item. Hasil analisis menunjukkan terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara keberfungsian keluarga dan resiliensi akademik terhadap kompetensi akademik siswa baik secara parsial dan simultan dengan derajat cukup kuat, dengan nilai koefisien korelasi 0.506. Berdasarkan analisis jalur keberfungsian keluarga mempengaruhi secara signifikan resiliensi akademik dan keberfungsian keluarga melalui resiliensi akademik mempengaruhi kompetensi akademik secara signifkan. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya keberfungsian keluarga bagi resiliensi akademik dan meningkatkan kompetensi akademik serta memberikan rekomendasi bagi pihak sekolah dan keluarga untuk meningkatkan komunikasi, dukungan, dan pengembangan resiliensi demi memaksimalkan kompetensi akademik siswa. ***** This study aimed to analyze the relationship between family functioning and academic resilience on students' academic competence. The research approach used a quantitative survey method. Data were collected through the Indonesian Family Function Scale questionnaire, derived from the original 33-item Shek's Chinese Family Assessment Inventory (CFAI), adapted by Rahmi Lubis. It comprises five aspects of family functioning: mutuality, harmony, communication, parental concern, and parental control. Academic resilience was measured using the Academic Resilience Scale, adapted from Cassdy, with the following aspects: Increased persistence, Increased reflection and adaptive help-seeking, and Increased avoidance of negative affect and emotional responses. Academic competence was measured using the Academic Competence Evaluation Scale, adapted from James C. DiPerna. The analysis revealed a positive and significant relationship between family functioning and academic resilience on students' academic competence, both partially and simultaneously, with a moderately strong correlation coefficient of 0.506. Based on the path analysis, family functioning significantly affects academic resilience and family functioning through academic resilience significantly affects academic competence. These findings emphasize the importance of family functioning for academic resilience and enhancing academic competence, and provide recommendations for schools and families to improve communication, support, and resilience development to maximize students' academic competence.
