Abstract

Tidak semua situasi dalam berkomunikasi menerapkan prinsip kesantunan dengan baik. Salah satu contoh adalah ketika terlaksana rapat oleh para anggota DPR. Penelitian ini akan membahas kesantunan dan ketidaksantunan yang muncul pada rapat Komisi III DPR RI dalam membahas kasus pembunuhan berencana Brigadir J atas perintah Ferdy Sambo. Rapat ini diselenggarakan bersama Komnas HAM, LPSK, Menko Polhukam, KAPOLRI, dan TAMPAK dalam 3 waktu yang berbeda. Lalu, penelitian ini juga membahas respon masyarakat terkait kesantunan dan ketidaksantunan yang digunakan oleh anggota Komisi III DPR RI. Penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif. Pembahasan menggunakan teori Kesantunan Brown dan Levinson dan Ketidaksantunan Culpeper. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan kesantunan dominan dari video rapat Komisi III bersama KOMNAS HAM, LPSK, dan Menko Polhukam yaitu kesantunan negatif. Ketidaksantunan dominan dari rapat tersebut yaitu ketidaksantunan negatif. Kesantunan dominan dari video rapat kedua bersama KAPOLRI yaitu kesantunan positif. Ketidaksantunan dominan dari rapat tersebut yaitu ketidaksantunan negatif dan sarkasme. Kesantunan dominan dari video rapat ketiga bersama TAMPAK yaitu kesantunan positif dan ketidaksantunan dominan dari rapat tersebut yaitu ketidaksantunan negatif. Dari semua agenda rapat Komisi III dalam membahas kasus Sambo, respon masyarakat lebih dominan ke arah komentar negatif. Meskipun persentase kesantunan dan ketidaksantunan seimbang, komentar masyarakat tetap cenderung ke arah negatif. Artinya, kesantunan dan ketidaksantunan tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap penilaian atau komentar masyarakat. Hal itu terjadi karena banyaknya media yang secara umum aktif memberitakan berbagai kasus yang terjadi di Indonesia sehingga itu yang membuat rakyat kecewa dan perspektif kepercayaan masyarakat terhadap anggota DPR yang sudah luntur. One example is when a meeting is held by members of the DPR. This study will discuss the politeness and impoliteness that emerged at the meeting of Commission III of the DPR RI in discussing the premeditated murder case of Brigadier J on the orders of Ferdy Sambo. This meeting was held together with Komnas HAM, LPSK, Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs, KAPOLRI, and TAMPAK in 3 different times. Then, this study also discusses the public response regarding the politeness and impoliteness used by members of Commission III of the DPR RI. This study uses qualitative descriptive. The discussion uses the theory of Brown and Levinson's Politeness and Culpeper's Impoliteness. The results of this study show that the dominant politeness from the video of the Commission III meeting with KOMNAS HAM, LPSK, and the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs is negative politeness. The dominant impoliteness from the meeting is negative impoliteness. The dominant politeness from the video of the second meeting with the KAPOLRI is positive politeness. The dominant impoliteness from the meeting is negative impoliteness and sarcasm. The dominant politeness of the third meeting video with TAMPAK is positive politeness and the dominant impoliteness of the meeting is negative impoliteness. Of all the agendas of the Commission III meeting in discussing the Sambo case, the public response was more dominant towards negative comments. Although the percentage of politeness and impoliteness is balanced, public comments still tend to be negative. This means that politeness and impoliteness do not have a significant effect on public assessment or comments. This happens because many media are generally active in reporting various cases that occur in Indonesia, which makes people disappointed and the perspective of public trust in DPR members has faded.
