Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika pada bilangan pecahan di kelas IX Sekolah Luar Biasa (SLB) Negeri 7 Jakarta melalui media fraction board. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 7 siswa dengan hambatan intelektual ringan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan desain model Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart, yang terdiri atas tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan dan pengamatan, serta refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi tes, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis kuantitatif untuk menghitung hasil pre-test dan post-test serta analisis kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media fraction board dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika pada bilangan pecahan bagi siswa dengan hambatan intelektual kelas IX SLB Negeri 7 Jakarta. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan adanya peningkatan rata-rata pada siklus I sebesar 34,29%, dari nilai rata-rata awal 34,29% menjadi 68,58%, yang dilakukan melalui tindakan menentukan pembilang dan penyebut pecahan, menentukan nilai pecahan, penggunaan alat bantu media fraction board, serta demonstrasi penggunaan fraction board. Kriteria ketuntasan pada siklus I sebesar 42,86%, tergolong “kurang”, yang berarti dari 7 siswa, baru 3 siswa yang mencapai kriteria persentase minimum yang ditetapkan. Pada siklus II, terjadi peningkatan rata-rata sebesar 25,71%, dari 68,58% menjadi 94,29%. Kriteria ketuntasan pada siklus II mencapai 100% dengan predikat “sangat baik”, yang berarti seluruh siswa telah mencapai kriteria persentase minimum yang ditetapkan. Dengan demikian, pembelajaran melalui media fraction board dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika pada bilangan pecahan bagi siswa dengan hambatan intelektual ringan kelas IX di SLBN 7 Jakarta. ***** This research aims to improve the ability to understand mathematical concepts in fractions for class IX of Sekolah Luar Biasa (SLB) Negeri 7 Jakarta through the use of the fraction board media. The subjects of this study were 7 students with mild intellectual disabilities. This research used the Classroom Action Research (PTK) method using the Kemmis and Mc. Taggart model, which consists of the planning, implementation of actions and observations, and reflection stages. Data collection techniques include tests, observations, and documentation. The data analysis technique used is quantitative analysis to calculate the results of the pre-test and post-test and qualitative analysis. The results of the study showed that fraction board media can improve the ability to understand mathematical concepts in fractions for students with intellectual disabilities in class IX of SLB Negeri 7 Jakarta. This is evidenced by an increase in the average in cycle I of 34.29%, from the initial average value of 34.29% to 68.58%, which was carried out through the action of determining the numerator and denominator of the fraction, determining the value of the fraction, using the fraction board media, and demonstrating its use. The completion criteria in cycle I was 42.86%, classified as “less”, which means that out of 7 students, only 3 student reached the minimum percentage criteria set. In cycle II, there was an average increase of 25.71%, from 68.58% to 94.29%. The completion criteria in cycle II reached 100% classified as “very good”, which means that all students had reached the minimum percentage criteria set. Thus, learning through fraction board media can improve the ability to understand mathematical concepts in fractions for students with mild intellectual disabilities in grade IX at SLBN 7 Jakarta.
