Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan sosial remaja di wilayah RW 002 Cikoko melalui pembelajaran berbasis pertunjukan lenong, sebagai alternatif pengganti kebiasaan bermain game online yang cenderung mengurangi interaksi langsung. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh fenomena meningkatnya ketergantungan remaja terhadap permainan daring dan menurunnya kemampuan mereka dalam berkomunikasi serta berinteraksi secara langsung dengan lingkungan sekitar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Participatory Action Research (PAR) dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Proses penelitian dilakukan secara partisipatif bersama tujuh orang remaja usia 11–15 tahun yang tinggal di RW 002 Cikoko. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dokumentasi visual, serta diskusi kelompok terarah. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif dengan triangulasi sumber dan metode guna memastikan validitas hasil. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran berbasis pertunjukan lenong efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan sosial partisipan, seperti kemampuan berkomunikasi, kerja sama tim, ekspresi emosi, serta kepercayaan diri. Selain itu, partisipan juga menunjukkan peningkatan minat terhadap kesenian tradisional Betawi, khususnya lenong. Melalui proses latihan dan pementasan, para remaja belajar untuk saling mendengarkan, bekerja sama, dan tampil percaya diri di depan publik. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa lenong bukan hanya sebagai bentuk seni hiburan semata, tetapi juga memiliki potensi besar sebagai media pendidikan masyarakat dalam meningkatkan keterampilan sosial remaja secara partisipatif dan kontekstual. **** This research aims to enhance the social skills of adolescents in RW 002 Cikoko through a learning approach based on lenong performances, as an alternative to replace excessive online gaming habits that tend to reduce direct interaction. The study is motivated by the phenomenon of increasing dependency among teenagers on digital games and the decline in their ability to communicate and interact effectively with their surroundings. The research employed Participatory Action Research (PAR) with a qualitative approach. The process involved seven participants aged 11–15 years residing in RW 002 Cikoko. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, visual documentation, and focus group discussions. Data analysis was conducted descriptively using triangulation methods (source and method) to ensure validity. The results show that lenong-based learning is effective in improving participants’ social skills, such as communication abilities, teamwork, emotional expression, and self-confidence. Additionally, the participants demonstrated increased interest in Betawi traditional art, especially lenong. Through rehearsal and performance processes, teenagers learned how to listen actively, collaborate, and perform confidently in front of an audience. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that lenong is not merely a form of entertainment but also holds great potential as a tool for community education, particularly in enhancing adolescent social skills through participatory and contextual learning.
