Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil evaluasi layanan dasar bidang karir dengan pendekatan formatif dan sumatif di SMK Wilayah Kecamatan Bekasi Barat yaitu di SMKN 1 Bekasi dan SMKS Bina Mandiri, menggunakan metode evaluasi melalui angket/kuesioner, observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 89 peserta didik kelas XII dari lima jurusan di SMKN 1 Bekasi dan 60 peserta didik dari dua jurusan di SMKS Bina Mandiri. Hasil evaluasi formatif menunjukkan bahwa kedua sekolah telah menerapkan layanan dasar bidang kariryang sesuai dengan kebutuhan peserta didik, materi yang diberikan relevan, waktu pelaksanaan tepat, media yang digunakan menarik, serta pengelolaan kelas berjalan dengan baik. Mayoritas peserta didik di SMKN 1 Bekasi (77%) dan SMKS Bina Mandiri (72%) menyatakan bahwa materi layanan dasar bidang karir sesuai, sementara lebih dari 80% peserta didik di kedua sekolah memberikan penilaian positif terhadap penggunaan media yang menarik dan pengelolaan kelas yang efektif. Hasil evaluasi sumatif menunjukkan bahwa peserta didik memiliki kesiapan kerja yang tinggi dalam berbagai aspek, termasuk tanggung jawab, fleksibilitas, keterampilan, komunikasi, dan pandangan diri, dengan skor tertinggi untuk tanggung jawab dan kesiapan kerja di SMKN 1 Bekasi (81%) serta di SMKS Bina Mandiri (80%). Meskipun demikian, aspek fleksibilitas dan keterampilan teknis masih perlu ditingkatkan dengan merekomendasikan penguatan pelatihan keterampilan teknis dan peningkatan kerja sama dengan dunia industri agar lulusan dapat lebih siap bersaing di dunia kerja dalam menghadapi tantangan profesional di masa depan. ***** This study aims to evaluate the results of basic career guidance services using both formative and summative approaches in vocational schools located in the West Bekasi District, namely SMKN 1 Bekasi and SMKS Bina Mandiri. The research employed evaluation methods through questionnaires, observation, interviews, and documentation. The research sample consisted of 89 twelfth-grade students from five departments at SMKN 1 Bekasi and 60 students from two departments at SMKS Bina Mandiri. The results of the formative evaluation show that both schools have implemented career guidance services that align with students’ needs. The materials delivered are relevant, the timing of service delivery is appropriate, the media used are engaging, and classroom management runs effectively. The majority of students at SMKN 1 Bekasi (77%) and SMKS Bina Mandiri (72%) stated that the guidance materials were appropriate, while more than 80% of students in both schools gave positive feedback regarding the use of engaging media and effective classroom management. The results of the summative evaluation indicate that students demonstrate high work readiness across various aspects, including responsibility, flexibility, skills, communication, and self-perception. The highest scores were found in responsibility and overall work readiness, with 81% at SMKN 1 Bekasi and 80% at SMKS Bina Mandiri. However, flexibility and technical skills still need to be improved. Therefore, it is recommended to strengthen technical skills training and enhance collaboration with the industrial sector to better prepare graduates to compete in the workforce and face future professional challenges.
