Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan sistem informasi manajemen dalam layanan perpustakaan di Perpustakaan Labschool Jakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, studi dokumentasi, dan wawancara dengan informan kepala perpustakaan, staf perpustakaan, dan pemustaka. Penelitian dilakukan pada penerapan sistem informasi manajemen dalam layanan sirkulasi, referensi, dan multimedia. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) layanan sirkulasi telah berjalan secara otomatis dan terintegrasi dengan sistem SLiMS. Proses peminjaman dan pengembalian buku dilakukan oleh pemustaka melalui pemindaian barcode, yang secara langsung tercatat dalam sistem SLiMS. Pustakawan mengelola data peminjaman dan pengembalian secara digital, namun tetap menjaga sistem manual sebagai cadangan ketika sistem mengalami gangguan teknis; 2) layanan referensi juga telah terintegrasi dengan sistem SLiMS. Koleksi referensi, baik cetak maupun digital, dapat diakses melalui pencarian berbasis OPAC. Meskipun sistem ini memungkinkan pemustaka untuk melakukan pencarian informasi secara mandiri, keberadaan pustakawan tetap memiliki peran penting dalam membantu pemustaka memperoleh referensi yang relevan; dan 3) layanan multimedia disediakan di ruang khusus perpustakaan yang dilengkapi dengan perangkat komputer, sehingga pemustaka dapat mengakses koleksi dalam format audio-visual. Sistem SLiMS mencatat data bibliografi koleksi digital seperti e-book dan e-journal, namun koleksi dalam bentuk film dan audio masih tersedia dalam format CD/DVD dan belum sepenuhnya terintegrasi ke dalam sistem digital. **** This research aims to analyze the application of management information systems in library services at the Labschool Jakarta Library. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data collection was conducted through observation, document review, and interviews with informants such as the library director, library staf, and library users. The research focused on the implementation of management information systems in circulation, reference, and multimedia services. The research results show that: 1) circulation services are now automated and integrated with the SLiMS system. The process of borrowing and returning books is carried out by library users through barcode scanning, which is directly recorded in the SLiMS system. Librarians manage borrowing and returning data digitally, but still maintain a manual system as a backup in case of technical disruptions; 2) reference services have also been integrated with the SLiMS system. Reference collections, both printed and digital, can be accessed through OPAC based searches. Although this system allows library users to search for information independently, librarians still play an important role in helping library users obtain relevant references; and 3) multimedia services are provided in a special library room equipped with computers, so that library users can access collections in audio-visual formats. The SLiMS system records bibliographic data for digital collections such as e-books and e-journals, but collections in the form of films and audio are still available in CD/DVD format and have not yet been fully integrated into the digital system.
