Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara student-teacher relationships dengan school belonging. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode korelasional dengan teknik analisis korelasi Spearman. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah convenience sampling dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 5.606 peserta didik SMP Negeri di wilayah Jakarta Pusat, Jakarta Timur, dan Jakarta Selatan. Hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa 70% peserta didik memiliki skor student-staff relationships yang positif dan 56% peserta didik memiliki skor school connectedness yang tinggi. Hasil analisis korelasi menunjukkan bahwa student-teacher relationships memiliki hubungan yang positif dan signifikan dengan school belonging (r = 0.547, p < 0.01). Hubungan ini termasuk ke dalam kategori kuat. Semakin positif student-teacher relationships, semakin tinggi pula tingkat school belonging. Koefisien determinasi (R2) sebesar 30% menunjukkan bahwa 30% variabilitas school belonging dapat dijelaskan oleh student-teacher relationships, sementara 70% sisanya dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah pentingnya kolaborasi antara wali kelas dengan guru BK dalam meningkatkan school belonging.***** This research aims to determine the relationship between student-teacher relationships and school belonging. This study used a correlational method with Spearman correlation analysis. The sampling technique was convenience sampling, with a sample size of 5,606 junior high school students in the areas of Central Jakarta, East Jakarta, and South Jakarta. The descriptive analysis results showed that 70% of the students had positive student-staff relationship scores, and 56% had high school connectedness scores. The correlation analysis results indicated that student-teacher relationships have a significant positive correlation with school belonging (r = 0.547, p < 0.01). This relationship is categorized as strong. The more positive the student-teacher relationships, the higher the level of school belonging. The coefficient of determination (R2) of 30% suggests that 30% of the variability in school belonging can be explained by student-teacher relationships, while the remaining 70% is influenced by other variables. The implication of this research is the importance of collaboration between homeroom teachers and school counselors in improving school belonging.
