Abstract
Penelitian korelasional ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan norma maskulinitas remaja dengan self-esteem (harga diri) pada siswa laki – laki di SMP Negeri se-kecamatan Pulo Gadung. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa laki laki kelas VII dan VIII di SMP Negeri se-kecamatan Pulo Gadung sebanyak 460 orang. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode korelasi dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan gform. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan tari saman berpengaruh positif terhadap kemampuan sosial siswa kelas II SD. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan negatif antara norma maskulinitas terhadap harga diri siswa laki – laki dengan signifikansi sebesar 0,152. Hal ini menunjukkan semakin tinggi norma maskulinitas patriarki yang dimiliki semakin rendah harga diri. Oleh sebab itu, guru dapat memberikan pemahaman terhadap maskulinitas yang positif sebagai upaya peningkatan harga diri yang dimiliki siswa laki – laki tingkat SMP di kecamatan Pulo Gadung. ***** This correlational study aims to determine the relationship between adolescent masculinity norms and self-esteem among male students in public junior high schools in the Pulo Gadung subdistrict. The sample in this study consisted of 460 male students in grades VII and VIII in public junior high schools in the Pulo Gadung subdistrict. The sample was taken using purposive sampling. The method used was a correlation method with a quantitative approach. Data collection was conducted using Google Forms. The results of the study indicate that Saman dance activities have a positive effect on the social skills of second-grade elementary school students. These results show a negative correlation between masculinity norms and self-esteem among male students, with a significance level of -0.152. This suggests that the higher the level of patriarchal masculinity norms, the lower the self-esteem. Therefore, teachers can provide an understanding of positive masculinity as an effort to enhance the self-esteem of male students at the junior high school level in Pulo Gadung subdistrict.
