Abstract
Kekerasan seksual di lingkungan sekolah merupakan masalah serius yang berdampak pada keamanan dan kesejahteraan psikososial remaja. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan metode advokasi pencegahan kekerasan seksual berbasis Participatory Action Research (PAR) melalui photovoice. Sebanyak 12 partisipan dipilih menggunakan purposive sampling. Kegiatan dilaksanakan melalui tahapan: kesepakatan partisipasi, edukasi isu kekerasan seksual, pelatihan photovoice dan etika, pembuatan narasi, pengumpulan foto, serta diskusi kelompok terfokus (FGD). Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis tematik dengan koding manual. Hasilnya, ditemukan lima tema utama: jenis kekerasan seksual, ruang tidak aman di sekolah, ruang tidak aman di ruang publik, dampak kekerasan seksual, serta simbol harapan, refleksi, dan upaya melawan trauma. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa photovoice efektif memfasilitasi remaja untuk mengungkapkan pengalaman, membangun kesadaran kritis, dan memperkuat keberanian menyuarakan isu kekerasan seksual. Photovoice juga menjadi sarana refleksi dan advokasi sosial yang memberdayakan remaja sebagai agen perubahan di lingkungan sekolah. ***** Sexual violence in school settings remains a critical issue that affects adolescents' safety and psychosocial well-being. This study aimed to develop an advocacy model for the prevention of sexual violence in schools using Participatory Action Research (PAR) through photovoice. Ten participants were selected by purposive sampling based on their active engagement in school activities. The photovoice process included agreement on participation, education on sexual violence issues, photovoice training and ethics, narrative building, photo collection, and focus group discussions (FGD). Data were analyzed thematically using manual coding. The analysis generated five key themes: types of sexual violence, unsafe spaces within the school environment, unsafe spaces in public areas, the psychological and social impacts of sexual violence, and symbols of hope, reflection, and resilience. The findings demonstrated that photovoice effectively facilitated adolescents in expressing experiences, fostering critical awareness, and encouraging them to voice concerns about sexual violence. Furthermore, photovoice served as a tool for reflection and social advocacy, empowering youth as agents of change within their school communities. The outcomes were presented in reports, exhibited on school bulletin boards, and showcased in virtual exhibitions, contributing to a broader awareness campaign.
