Abstract

Kepercayaan diri merupakan aspek penting dalam kehidupan manusia. Salah satu faktor yang memengaruhi kepercayaan diri yaitu lingkungan keluarga, terutama orang tua, dimana faktor itu akan memberikan pembentukan awal terhadap kepribadian anak. Faktor orang tua yang dimaksud yaitu ayah dan juga ibu yang keduanya harus terlibat dalam mengasuh, membimbing dan juga mendidik anak. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan keterlibatan ayah dalam pengasuhan dengan kepercayaan diri anak usia 5-6 tahun. Bersadarkan hasil uji korelasi diperoleh bahwa terdapat hubungan positif antara varabel X dan variabel Y, hal ini dibuktikan bahwa nilai Sig (2-tailed) < 0,025 yaitu 0,000 < 0,025. Dengan demikian maka hipotesis dalam penelitian ini adalah HO ditolak dan H1 diterima, sedangkan nilai R square diperoleh sebesar 0,455 yang menunjukkan bahwa persentase hubungan keterlibatan ayah dalam pengasuhan dengan kepercayaan diri anak usia 5-6 tahun sebesar 46%. ***** Self-confidence is an important aspect in human life. One of the factors that influences self-confidence is the family environment, especially parents, where this factor will provide the initial formation of the child's personality. The parent factors in question are the father and mother, both of whom must be involved in caring for, guiding and educating children. This study uses a quantitative method. This study aims to determine the relationship between father involvement in parenting and the self-confidence of children aged 5-6 years. Based on the results of the correlation test, it was obtained that there was a positive relationship between variable X and variable Y, this was proven by the Sig value (2-tailed) <0.025, namely 0.000 <0.025. Thus, the hypothesis in this study is that HO is rejected and H1 is accepted, while the R square value obtained was 0.455 which shows that the percentage of the relationship between father involvement in parenting and the self-confidence of children aged 5-6 years is 46%.
