Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk, makna, dan jenis onomatope dalam novel Tanah Para Bandit karya Tere Liye. Onomatope dapat membuktikan genre yang diangkat melalui kesan yang terbangun untuk mendukung penokohan atau latar suasana dalam novel sehingga gambaran imajinasi lebih kuat bagi pembaca novel. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data dokumentasi, yakni membaca dan mencatat. Data dalam penelitian ini adalah onomatope murni dalam narasi novel Tanah Para Bandit karya Tere Liye. Teknik analisis data menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan mendeskripsikan secara detail tentang bentuk, makna, dan jenis onomatope. Setelah dilakukan penelitian melalui analisis pada data ditemukan sejumlah 150 data onomatope dengan variasi 30 data onomatope. 150 data tersebut diklasifikasikan berdasarkan bentuk, makna, dan jenis onomatope. Terdapat 3 bentuk onomatope yang terbagi ke dalam 9 pola struktur silabel. Bentuk monosilabel ke dalam 4 pola, yakni pola silabel KKVK, KVK, KKKK, dan KKVKK. Bentuk kedua adalah bisilabel yang terbagi ke dalam 4 pola, yakni pola silabel V-V, KV-VK, KV-KKVK dan KVK-KVK. Bentuk ketiga adalah multisilabel dengan pola silabel KKV-KV-KV-KVK. Dalam 3 bentuk tersebut, 8 pola silabel diawali dengan fonem konsonan dan 1 fonem vokal. Adapun fonem pada huruf depan onomatope antara lain konsonan plosif, frikatif, dan afrikatif. Selain itu, jenis onomatope yang ada dalam novel Tanah Para Bandit karya Tere Liye terbagi menjadi 4, yakni onomatope auditori, gerakan, visual, dan onomatope emosional. Terdapat enam makna onomatope, yakni makna gerakan, makna bunyi benturan dua benda, makna bunyi benda, makna bunyi hewan, makna bunyi ledakan, dan makna bunyi ekspresi. ***** This research aims to describe the forms, meanings, and types of onomatopoeia in the novel "Tanah Para Bandit" by Tere Liye. Onomatopoeia can prove the genre being presented through the impression it creates to support character development or the atmosphere in the novel, thereby strengthening the readers' imagination. This research uses a qualitative method with data collection techniques through documentation, namely reading and noting. The data source in this study is pure onomatopoeia in the narrative of the novel Tanah Para Bandit by Tere Liye. The data analysis technique uses a descriptive method by detailing the form, meaning, and types of onomatopoeia. After conducting research through data analysis, a total of 150 onomatopoeic data with 30 variations of onomatopoeic data were found. These 150 data were classified based on form, meaning, and type of onomatopoeia. There are 3 forms of onomatopoeia divided into 9 syllable structure patterns. The monosyllabic form falls into 4 patterns, namely the syllable patterns KKVK, KVK, KKKK, and KKVKK. The second form is bisyllabic, divided into 4 patterns, namely the syllable patterns V-V, KV-VK, KV-KKVK, and KVK-KVK. The third form is multisyllabic with the syllable pattern KKV-KV-KV-KVK. In these 3 forms, 8 syllable patterns begin with consonant phonemes and 1 vowel phoneme. The phonemes at the beginning of the onomatopoeia include plosive, fricative, and affricate consonants. In addition, the types of onomatopoeia found in the novel "Tanah Para Bandit" by Tere Liye are divided into four categories: auditory, movement, visual, and emotional onomatopoeia. There are six meanings of onomatopoeia, namely the meaning of movement, the meaning of the sound of two objects colliding, the meaning of the sound of an object, the meaning of the sound of an animal, the meaning of the sound of an explosion, and the meaning of the sound of an expression.
