Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara verbal abuse oleh teman sebaya dengan kepercayaan diri siswa kelas VI pada pembelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila di SD Negeri Kecamatan Tebet. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah fenomena rendahnya kepercayaan diri siswa yang diduga berkaitan dengan perlakuan negatif dari lingkungan sosial, khususnya dalam bentuk kekerasan verbal oleh teman sebaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode korelasional. Sampel dalam penelitian berjumlah 62 siswa yang dipilih dari kelas VI A dan VI B. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa kuesioner tertutup menggunakan skala Likert, yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji korelasi Pearson dengan bantuan SPSS versi 31. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara verbal abuse oleh teman sebaya dengan kepercayaan diri siswa, dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 (< 0,05) dan koefisien korelasi sebesar -0,630. Korelasi negatif tersebut mengindikasikan bahwa semakin tinggi tingkat verbal abuse yang dialami siswa, maka semakin rendah tingkat kepercayaan diri mereka. Temuan ini menunjukkan pentingnya peran sekolah dan guru dalam menanamkan nilai-nilai kemanusiaan sesuai sila kedua Pancasila, serta menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang aman, suportif, dan bebas dari kekerasan verbal. Kata Kunci: Kepercayaan Diri, Pendidikan Pancasila, Teman Sebaya, dan Verbal Abuse ***** This study aims to determine the relationship between peer verbal abuse and the self-confidence of sixth grade students in Pancasila Education learning at SD Negeri Kecamatan Tebet. The background of this research is the phenomenon of low student self-confidence, which is suspected to be related to negative treatment from the social environment, especially in the form of verbal abuse by peers. This research employed a quantitative approach using a correlational method. The sample consisted of 62 students selected from classes VI A and VI B. The instrument used was a closed-ended questionnaire using a Likert scale that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis was conducted using Pearson correlation test with the assistance of SPSS version 31. The results showed a significant relationship between peer verbal abuse and student self-confidence, with a significance value of 0.000 (< 0.05) and a correlation coefficient of -0.630. This negative correlation indicates that the higher the level of verbal abuse experienced by students, the lower their self-confidence. These findings highlight the important role of schools and teachers in fostering humanistic values in accordance with the second principle of Pancasila and in creating a safe, supportive, and verbal abuse free learning environment.
