Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh gambaran harapan pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa FIP UNJ angkatan 2020-2021 sebanyak 110 orang. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik accidental sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif dengan metode survei. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuesioner dengan menggunakan skala likert. Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah Adult Dispositional Hope Scale yang dikembangkan oleh Snyder. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas mahasiswa tingkat akhir FIP UNJ berada pada tingkat harapan yang sangat rendah. Hal ini menunjukkan jika mahasiswa memiliki tujuan yang kurang jelas terhadap penyelesaian skripsinya sebagai capaian akademik yang penting. Kata Kunci: Harapan, Mahasiswa Tingkat Akhir. ***** This study aims to obtain an overview of the expectations of final-year students at the Faculty of Education, Jakarta State University. The sample in this study consisted of 110 students from the 2020-2021 class at FIP UNJ. Sampling was conducted using accidental sampling techniques. This study employs a descriptive quantitative approach using a survey method. Data collection was conducted using a questionnaire with a Likert scale. The instrument used in this study is the Adult Dispositional Hope Scale developed by Snyder. The results of the study indicate that the majority of final-year students at FIP UNJ have very low levels of hope. This shows that students have unclear goals regarding the completion of their thesis as an important academic achievement. Keyword: Hope, Final Year Student.
