Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi karena pengetahuan ibu balita mengenai gizi seimbang masih belum optimal, padahal hal tersebut berperan penting dalam tumbuh kembang anak. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan pengetahuan ibu balita sebelum dan sesudah diberikan intervensi berupa media booklet sebagai sarana edukasi gizi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode pre-eksperimental dan desain one group pretest-posttest. Penelitian dilaksanakan di RT 10 RW 15 Kelurahan Cipinang Muara, Jakarta Timur, dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 25 orang ibu balita yang dipilih melalui teknik total sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes pilihan ganda sebanyak 17 soal yang diberikan sebelum dan sesudah intervensi. Hasil analisis menunjukkan adanya peningkatan nilai rata-rata dari 10,40 (pretest) menjadi 15,84 (posttest), dengan persentase peningkatan sebesar 52,31%. Uji Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test menunjukkan nilai Z sebesar -4,385 dengan signifikansi p = 0,000 (p < 0,05), yang berarti terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara sebelum dan sesudah intervensi. Dengan demikian, media booklet terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu balita tentang gizi seimbang dan dapat dijadikan sebagai media edukasi yang praktis serta mudah dipahami. ***** This study was motivated by the suboptimal knowledge of mothers regarding balanced nutrition, which plays a vital role in children's growth and development. The purpose of this research was to determine the difference in knowledge before and after the intervention using a booklet as an educational medium. This study employed a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental method and a one-group pretest-posttest design. The research was conducted in RT 10 RW 15, Cipinang Muara Sub-district, East Jakarta, involving 25 respondents selected through total sampling. The instrument used was a multiple-choice test consisting of 17 questions administered before and after the intervention. The results showed an increase in the average score from 10.40 (pretest) to 15.84 (posttest), with a percentage gain of 52.75%. The Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test yielded a Z score of -4.385 with a significance value of p = 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores. Therefore, the booklet proved to be effective in increasing knowledge about balanced nutrition and can be used as a practical and easy-to-understand educational tool.
