Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan mengenal bangun ruang pada peserta didik dengan hambatan pendengaran kelas V di SLBN 02 Jakarta melalui penerapan model Project Based Learning (PjBL). Latar belakang penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peserta didik dengan hambatan pendengaran mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami konsep geometri bangun ruang, khususnya balok dan kubus, akibat keterbatasan dalam kemampuan bahasa dan komunikasi. Model Project Based Learning (PjBL) dipilih karena mampu melibatkan peserta didik secara aktif dalam proses pembelajaran dengan memanfaatkan kemampuan multisensori yang mereka miliki, seperti visual, kinestetik, dan taktil. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Metode ini dipilih untuk memungkinkan perbaikan pembelajaran secara berkelanjutan berdasarkan hasil evaluasi pada setiap siklus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi model PjBL pada pembelajaran bangun ruang memberikan hasil yang memuaskan, dengan rata-rata kelas mencapai skor 11,75 dalam kategori "Sangat Baik". Sebanyak 66,7% peserta didik mencapai kategori tersebut, yang mengindikasikan potensi besar dari model pembelajaran ini. Model PjBL terbukti efektif dalam mengintegrasikan aspek kognitif, psikomotorik, dan afektif secara holistik. Selain meningkatkan hasil belajar akademik, penerapan PjBL juga turut mengembangkan keterampilan kolaborasi, kreativitas, dan pemecahan masalah yang esensial bagi pengembangan kompetensi peserta didik. ********* This research aims to improve the ability to recognize geometric solids among hearing-impaired students in grade V at SLBN 02 Jakarta through the implementation of Project Based Learning (PjBL) model. The research background shows that hearing-impaired students experience difficulties in understanding geometric solid concepts, particularly rectangular prisms and cubes, due to limitations in language and communication abilities. The Project Based Learning model was chosen because it can actively engage students in learning by utilizing multisensory capabilities (visual, kinesthetic, and tactile) possessed by hearing-impaired students. This research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) method, conducted over two cycles. Each cycle included the stages of planning, action, observation, and reflection. This method was chosen to allow for continuous improvement of the learning process based on evaluations from each cycle. The research results show that the implementation of Project Based Learning in geometric solids learning achieved satisfactory results with a class average of 11.75 (Very Good category). The success of 66.7% of students achieving the "Very Good" category indicates the great potential of this learning model. The project based learning (PjBL) model proved effective in integrating cognitive, psychomotor, and affective aspects holistically. In addition to improving academic learning outcomes, the implementation of project based learning (PjBL) model also develops collaboration skills, creativity, and problem-solving skills that are essential for developing student competencies.
