Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pelaksanaan kursus menjahit di Lembaga Kursus dan Pelatihan (LKP) Nining Modiste dalam meningkatkan keterampilan peserta dengan menggunakan pendekatan Component Design Theory (CDT) yang dikembangkan oleh M. David Merrill. Fokus penelitian mencakup empat komponen utama dalam CDT, yaitu tujuan (goals), penyajian materi (content representation), organisasi pembelajaran (course organization), dan interaksi pembelajaran (transaction). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada komponen tujuan (goals), terdapat ketidaksesuaian antara tujuan pembelajaran yang disampaikan dengan isi materi yang diajarkan. Pada komponen penyajian materi (content representation) modul yang digunakan belum sepenuhnya sesuai dengan tujuan pembelajaran yang dirancang. Pada komponen organisasi pembelajaran (course organization), metode dan urutan materi yang digunakan sudah sesuai, akan tetapi perlu dilakukan penyesuaian kurikulum dengan tujuan pembelajaran. Sementara itu, pada komponen interaksi pembelajaran (transaction), interaksi antara instruktur dan peserta sudah berjalan baik dan sesuai dengan prinsip CDT, termasuk adanya bimbingan tambahan mengenai usaha menjahit. Dengan demikian, pelaksanaan kursus menjahit di LKP Nining Modiste sudah menunjukkan peningkatan yang baik untuk keterampilan menjahit peserta, namun masih memerlukan penyesuaian pada komponen tujuan, penyajian materi, dan organisasi pembelajaran agar seluruh komponen pembelajaran saling mendukung dan sesuai dengan prinsip dalam CDT. Kata kunci : Kursus Menjahit, LKP Nining Modiste, Keterampilan Peserta, Component Design Theory (CDT). ***** This study aims to analyze the implementation of sewing courses at the Nining Modiste Training and Course Institute (LKP Nining Modiste) in improving participants’ skills using the Component Design Theory (CDT) developed by M. David merrill. The research focuses on four main components in CDT : goals, content representation, course organization, and transaction. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. The result of the study show that in the component of goals, there is a discrepancy between the stated learning objectives and the content delivered. In the component of content representation, the module employed is not fully aligned with the designed learning objectives. In the component of organization, the methods and sequence of materials are appropriate, however, the curriculum still requires adjustment to match the learning objectives. Meanwhile, in the component of transaction, the interaction between the instructor and participants has been well implemented and is consistent with the principles of CDT, including additional guidance related to sewing entrepreneurship. This mismatch indicates that the content representation and course organization do ot fully support the intended learning objectives. Therefore, while the sewing course at LKP Nining Modiste has shown positive outcomes in improving participants’ sewing skills, adjustments are still needed in the components of goals, content representation, and course organization to ensure all instructional elements are aligned and consistent with CDT principles.
