Abstract

Pandawa River Cianten merupakan salah satu objek wisata berbasis alam yang berada di Desa Ciaruteun Ilir dengan potensi wisata sungai yang masih alami dan dikelola dengan melibatkan masyarakat setempat. Pengembangan wisata ini memerlukan strategi pemberdayaan masyarakat yang tepat guna meningkatkan kesadaran sadar wisata serta kualitas pengelolaan wisata. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui strategi pemberdayaan masyarakat dalam meningkatkan sadar wisata di Pandawa River Cianten. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Wawancara dilakukan dengan pihak pengelola dan masyarakat guna memperoleh data yang komprehensif. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman yang meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi pemberdayaan masyarakat di Pandawa River Cianten dilaksanakan melalui tahapan penyadaran masyarakat, pengembangan masyarakat, serta dukungan dan penguatan dari pengelola. Penerapan sadar wisata mengacu pada konsep Sapta Pesona yang meliputi unsur aman, tertib, bersih, sejuk, indah, ramah, dan kenangan. Strategi tersebut dinilai telah berjalan dengan baik dan berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan kualitas pengelolaan wisata, meskipun masih terdapat kendala berupa keterbatasan fasilitas dan belum meratanya keterlibatan masyarakat. ***** Pandawa River Cianten is a nature-based tourism destination located in Ciaruteun Ilir Village with considerable potential for river tourism that remains relatively natural and is managed through community involvement. The development of this tourism destination requires appropriate community empowerment strategies to enhance tourism awareness and improve the quality of tourism management. This study aims to examine community empowerment strategies in increasing tourism awareness at Pandawa River Cianten. A qualitative research method was employed, with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. Interviews were conducted with tourism managers and local community members,. Data analysis was carried out using the Miles and Huberman model, which consists of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that community empowerment strategies at Pandawa River Cianten are implemented through stages of community awareness, community development, as well as support and reinforcement from the management. The implementation of tourism awareness refers to the Sapta Pesona concept, which includes the elements of safety, orderliness, cleanliness, coolness, beauty, hospitality, and memorable experiences. Overall, these strategies have been implemented effectively and have contributed to improving the quality of tourism management, although several constraints remain, particularly related to limited facilities and the uneven level of community involvement.
