Abstract

Industri pariwisata global mengalami disrupsi yang cukup signifikan sebagai dampak dari pandemi COVID-19. Dalam upaya untuk membangkitkan kembali sektor pariwisata, pemerintah Indonesia dan pelaku industri di Indonesia mencanangkan konsep Cleanliness, Health, Safety, dan Environmental sustainability (CHSE). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji hubungan antara cleanliness, health, safety, dan environmental sustainability dengan pemulihan industri pariwisata yang terdampak pandemi COVID-19, serta menganalisis peran CHSE dalam pemulihan industri pariwisata yang terdampak pandemi COVID-19. Metode penelitian ini adalah mixed methods dengan desain explanatory sequential design yang dilaksanakan di Kabupaten Badung, Provinsi Bali pada Januari – Agustus 2023. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 103 karyawan di bawah head department yang bekerja di 92 hotel bintang tiga di Kabupaten Badung, Bali melalui multistage random sampling. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara CHSE secara keseluruhan dengan pemulihan industri pariwisata yang terdampak COVID-19, dan secara kualitatif didapat bahwa peran cleanliness, health, safety, dan environmental sustainability adalah fundamental dan saling terkait dalam pemulihan industri pariwisata pasca pandemi COVID-19. Keempat aspek ini tidak lagi dipandang sebagai sekadar fasilitas tambahan atau pilihan, melainkan telah bertransformasi menjadi persyaratan inti yang memengaruhi kepercayaan, keputusan perjalanan, dan loyalitas wisatawan. The global tourism industry experienced significant disruptions as an impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. In an effort to revitalize the tourism sector, the Indonesian government and tourism industries in Indonesia launched the concept of cleanliness, health, safety, and environmental sustainability (CHSE). This study aims to examine the relationship between cleanliness, health, safety, and environmental sustainability with the recovery of the tourism industry affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, and to analyze the role of CHSE in the recovery of the tourism industry affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. This research method is a mixed methods with an explanatory sequential design implemented in Badung Regency, Bali Province in January-August 2023. The sample in this study was 103 employees under the head department who worked in 92 three-star hotels in Badung Regency, Bali through multistage random sampling. The results of this study indicate that there is a relationship between CHSE as a whole and the recovery of the tourism industry affected by COVID-19, and qualitatively it is found that the role of cleanliness, health, safety, and environmental sustainability is fundamental and interrelated in the recovery of the tourism industry after the COVID-19 pandemic. These four aspects are no longer seen as merely additional facilities or options, but have transformed into core requirements that influence tourist trust, travel decisions, and loyalty.
