Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh penilaian upcycle kemeja menggunakan teknik aplikasi dan sashiko dengan penerapan teori estetika. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian pre-experimental design, one-shot case study. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah penilaian yang dilakukan oleh lima panelis ahli menggunakan angket terbuka yang diukur menggunakan rating scale berdasarkan teori estetika dengan indikator wujud atau rupa, bobot atau isi, dan penyajian dan penampilan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa seluruh aspek memperoleh nilai yang berada pada kategori sangat baik. Indikator bobot atau isi meliputi gagasan atau ide memperoleh skor tertinggi dengan jumlah 94%, menunjukan keberhasilan bahwa produk kemeja dinilai telah sesuai dengan konsep dan tema yang mengacu pada sumber inspirasi permainan tradisional. Sedangkan wujud atau rupa mendapatkan skor terendah 93,7% karena masih dinilai kurang dalam penerapan unsur dan prinsip desain pada produk. Dari kelima desain yang dinilai, desain 2 meraih skor terbaik 96,5%. Sebaliknya, desain 1 mendapat skor trendah 90,9%. Kata Kunci : Estetika, Upcycle, Teknik Sashiko. ***** This study aims to evaluate the upcycling of shirts using appliqué and sashiko techniques with the application of aesthetic theory. The research method used is quantitative descriptive with a pre-experimental design, one-shot case study. The data collection technique in this study was an assessment conducted by five expert panelists using an open questionnaire measured using a rating scale based on aesthetic theory with indicators of form or appearance, weight or content, and presentation and appearance. The results showed that all aspects received scores in the excellent category. The weight or content indicator, which includes ideas or concepts, received the highest score of 94%, indicating that the shirt product was considered to be in line with the concept and theme inspired by traditional games. Meanwhile, form or appearance received the lowest score of 93.7% because the application of design elements and principles in the product was still considered lacking. Of the five designs evaluated, design 2 achieved the highest score of 96.5%. Conversely, design 1 received the lowest score of 90.9%. Keywords : Aesthetics, Upcycle, Sashiko Technique.
