Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan, menilai kelayakan, serta menguji efektivitas modul pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia sekolah dasar berbasis kearifan lokal Baduy Banten dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman peserta didik. Integrasi nilai-nilai budaya Baduy, seperti kesederhanaan, kejujuran, gotong royong, kedisiplinan, dan kepedulian terhadap alam, dipandang sebagai pendekatan kontekstual yang mampu memperkuat literasi membaca sekaligus menanamkan karakter dan identitas budaya peserta didik sekolah dasar di tengah tantangan globalisasi dan rendahnya capaian membaca pemahaman. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development) dengan model ADDIE yang meliputi tahap analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, angket, serta tes kemampuan membaca pemahaman (pretest dan posttest) pada peserta didik kelas V SDN Bojongmenteng 2. Uji kelayakan modul dilakukan melalui validasi ahli materi, ahli bahasa, dan ahli desain grafis, sedangkan uji efektivitas dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan inferensial untuk melihat perbedaan kemampuan membaca pemahaman sebelum dan sesudah penggunaan modul. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa modul pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia berbasis kearifan lokal Baduy Banten berada pada kategori sangat layak menjadi sumber belajar penunjang berdasarkan penilaian para ahli dan respon positif dari guru serta peserta didik. Hasil uji efektivitas menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan kemampuan membaca pemahaman peserta didik setelah menggunakan modul pembelajaran pada aspek membaca pemahaman literal. Modul juga terbukti meningkatkan keterlibatan belajar, serta kemampuan peserta didik dalam mengaitkan isi bacaan dengan pengalaman sosial dan budaya di lingkungan sekitarnya. Novelty penelitian ini terletak pada pengembangan modul pembelajaran membaca pemahaman yang secara sistematis dan autentik mengintegrasikan kearifan lokal budaya Baduy Banten ke dalam materi Bahasa Indonesia sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini tidak hanya menempatkan budaya lokal sebagai konteks pendukung, tetapi sebagai inti pengembangan konten bacaan, aktivitas literasi, dan asesmen membaca pemahaman. Pendekatan ini memperkaya kajian literasi berbasis budaya dengan memadukan dimensi pedagogis, kultural, dan karakter secara holistik, serta menghadirkan model pengembangan modul pembelajaran yang dapat direplikasi pada komunitas adat dan budaya lokal lainnya. ***** This study aims to develop, assess the feasibility, and test the effectiveness of an Indonesian language learning module for elementary schools based on the local wisdom of the Baduy of Banten in improving students' reading comprehension skills. The integration of Baduy cultural values, such as simplicity, honesty, mutual cooperation, discipline, and concern for nature, is seen as a contextual approach that can strengthen reading literacy while instilling character and cultural identity in elementary school students amidst the challenges of globalization and low reading comprehension achievements. This study used the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Data were collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and reading comprehension ability tests (pretest and posttest) on fifth-grade students of SDN Bojongmenteng 2. The module feasibility test was carried out through validation by material experts, language experts, and graphic design experts, while the effectiveness test was analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics to see the difference in reading comprehension ability before and after using the module. The results of the study indicate that the Indonesian language learning module based on the local wisdom of the Baduy of Banten is categorized as very suitable as a supporting learning resource based on expert assessments and positive responses from teachers and students. The effectiveness test results showed a significant increase in students' reading comprehension skills after using the learning module in the aspect of literal reading comprehension. The module was also proven to increase learning engagement, as well as students' ability to connect reading content with social and cultural experiences in their surroundings. The novelty of this research lies in the development of a reading comprehension learning module that systematically and authentically integrates the local wisdom of the Baduy Banten culture into elementary school Indonesian language materials. This research not only positions local culture as a supporting context, but also as the core of developing reading content, literacy activities, and reading comprehension assessments. This approach enriches culture-based literacy studies by holistically integrating pedagogical, cultural, and character dimensions, and presents a learning module development model that can be replicated in other indigenous and local cultural communities.
