Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran komik digital berbasis Webtoon pada materi potensi bencana gempa bumi serta menguji kelayakan dan efektivitasnya dalam pembelajaran IPS kelas VII SMP. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development) dengan model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 108 Jakarta. Instrumen pengumpulan data meliputi kuesioner validasi ahli, kuesioner respons pengguna, serta tes hasil belajar berupa pre-test dan post-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media komik digital yang dikembangkan berada pada kategori sangat layak berdasarkan penilaian ahli media sebesar 93,1%, ahli materi sebesar 96%, serta respons guru IPS sebesar 95,23%. Hasil uji coba pengguna pada tahap one-to-one trial memperoleh persentase 94,27% dan small group trial sebesar 97,4%, yang keduanya termasuk dalam kategori sangat layak. Efektivitas media ditunjukkan melalui uji coba lapangan (field test) yang menghasilkan peningkatan rata-rata nilai hasil belajar siswa dari 71,3 menjadi 87,3 dengan nilai N-Gain sebesar 0,5982 yang termasuk dalam kategori sedang. Dengan demikian, media komik digital berbasis Webtoon dinyatakan layak dan efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran IPS pada materi potensi bencana gempa bumi. ***** This study aims to develop a Webtoon-based digital comic as a learning media on the topic of earthquake disaster potential and to examine its feasibility and effectiveness in Grade VII Social Studies learning. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) design using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The study was conducted at SMP Negeri 108 Jakarta. Data collection instruments included expert validation questionnaires, user response questionnaires, and learning achievement tests consisting of pre-tests and post-tests. The results indicate that the developed digital comic is categorized as highly feasible based on assessments from media experts (93,1%), material experts (96%), and Social Studies teachers (95,23%). User trials also showed very high feasibility, with the one-to-one trial yielding 94,27% and the small group trial 97.4%. The media’s effectiveness was demonstrated through a field test, which showed an increase in students’ average learning scores from 71,3 to 87,3, with an N-Gain value of 0.5982, categorized as moderate. Therefore, the Webtoon-based digital comic is declared feasible and effective for use in Social Studies learning on the topic of earthquake disaster potential.
