Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penguasaan kosakata, kemampuan berpikir kreatif, dan penguasaan gaya bahasa terhadap keterampilan menulis puisi. penelitian menggunakan analisis jalur, 176 siswa dilibatkan sebagai sampel dari populasi kelas X SMA Negeri 2 Palopo sejumlah 314 siswa. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan instrumen tes untuk masing-masing variabel dan kemudian data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan SPSS V 20. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan statistik, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penguasaan kosakata berpengaruh positif langsung terhadap keterampilan menulis puisi sebesar 19.9%, sedangkan pengaruh tidak langsung terhadap penguasaan gaya bahasa sebesar 2.3%. Untuk kemampuan berpikir kreatif, terdapat persentase sebesar 72.3% terhadap keterampilan menulis puisi, sedangkan pengaruh tidak langsung terhadap penguasaan gaya bahasa sebesar 4,40%.Siswa hendaknya berupaya untuk selalu mengembangkan penguasaan kosakata menggunakan kata, baik yang bersifat ekspresif maupun reseptif yang meliputi istilah, kata umum, idiom, kata tugas, dan kata abstrak. Dengan demikian, penguasaan kosakata, kemampuan berpikir kreatif, dan penguasaan gaya bahasa merupakan kunci keberhasilan siswa dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menulis puisi. This study aims to determine the effect of vocabulary mastery, creative thinking skills, and metaphoric language mastery on poetry writing skills. Using a path analysis, 176 students were included as a sample taken from a population of class X SMA Negeri 2 Palopo with a total of 314 students. Data collection was done using test instruments for each variable and then the data obtained were analyzed using SPSS. Based on the results of statistical calculations, the results showed that the mastery of vocabulary had a direct positive effect on poetry writing skills by 19.9%, while the indirect effect on mastery of language style was 2.3%. For the ability to think creatively, there is a percentage of 72.3% on poetry writing skills, while the indirect effect on mastery of language style is 4.40%.Students should strive to always develop vocabulary mastery using words, both expressive and receptive, which include terms, common words, idioms, assignments, and abstract words.Thus, vocabulary mastery, creative thinking ability, and mastery of language style are the keys to students' success in improving poetry writing skills.
