Abstract
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh Internal Locus of Control terhadap Kemandirian Belajar baik secara langsung maupun tidak langsung melalui Disiplin Belajar sebagai variabel mediasi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode survei dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah peserta didik jurusan Manajemen Perkantoran di SMK Negeri 3 Jakarta. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik probability sampling, yaitu teknik pengambilan sampel yang memberikan peluang yang sama bagi setiap anggota populasi untuk terpilih sebagai responden. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) berbasis Partial Least Squares (PLS) yang diolah menggunakan software SmartPLS. Tahapan analisis data meliputi analisis model pengukuran, analisis model struktural, serta pengujian hipotesis pengaruh langsung dan tidak langsung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh langsung yang positif dan signifikan antara (1) Internal Locus of Control terhadap Disiplin Belajar (β=0,406; p=0,000) dan (2) Disiplin Belajar terhadap Kemandirian Belajar (β=0,243; p=0,013). Namun, tidak terdapat pengaruh langsung yang positif dan signifikan antara (3) Internal Locus of Control terhadap Kemandirian Belajar (β=0,012; p=0,929). Selanjutnya, hasil pengujian pengaruh tidak langsung menunjukkan bahwa (4) Internal Locus of Control berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap Kemandirian Belajar melalui Disiplin Belajar, sehingga Disiplin Belajar berperan sebagai variabel mediasi penuh (β=0,099; p=0,031). Kata Kunci: Lokus Kontrol Internal, Disiplin Belajar, Kemandirian Belajar ***** The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of Internal Locus of Control on Learning Independence, both directly and indirectly through Learning Discipline as a mediating variable. This study employed a survey method with a quantitative approach. The population of this study consisted of students from the Office Management major at SMK Negeri 3 Jakarta. The sampling technique used was probability sampling, which provides equal opportunities for each member of the population to be selected as a respondent. The data analysis technique applied in this study was Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Squares (PLS), processed using SmartPLS software. The stages of data analysis included measurement model analysis, structural model analysis, and hypothesis testing of direct and indirect effects. The results indicated that there was a positive and significant direct effect of (1) Internal Locus of Control on Learning Discipline (β = 0.406; p = 0.000) and (2) Learning Discipline on Learning Independence (β = 0.243; p = 0.013). However, there was no positive and significant direct effect of (3) Internal Locus of Control on Learning Independence (β = 0.012; p = 0.929). Furthermore, the results of the indirect effect analysis showed that (4) Internal Locus of Control had a positive and significant effect on Learning Independence through Learning Discipline, indicating that Learning Discipline acted as a full mediating variable (β = 0.099; p = 0.031).
