Abstract

***** This study was conducted against the background of the lack of skills of micro entrepreneurs in RT 10 RW 15 Cipinang Muara, East Jakarta, in creating attractive and informative promotional posters to be advertised on the digital media. The central problem is the shortage of awareness regarding the importance of promotion through digital media and the technical ability to effectively implement it. The purpose of the research was to determine how poster design training could enhance the micro entrepreneurs' skills. This research applied the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method of Kemmis and McTaggart. The results of the study showed a significant increase in the average pre-test score of 80 with the category “Understand” up to 96 in the post-test with the category “Very Understand”, while four out of five participants obtained the title “Very Good” in the rubric of assessment based on visual design principles such as hierarchy, balanced composition, color-typography harmonization, and clear placement of Call to Action (CTA). The findings prove that the participatory practice-based training effectively enhances the skills of business owners in creating promotional posters that are suitable for use on social media. Keywords: training, digital posters, digital marketing, MSMEs, Participatory Action Research.
