Abstract
Penelitian ini memiliki dua tujuan utama. Pertama, untuk mendeskripsikan program kegiatan adiwiyata di sekolah SMA Negeri 72 Jakarta. Kedua, untuk mengetahui bagaimana perubahan pola perilaku peserta didik setelah mengikuti kegiatan adiwiyata di sekolah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Kemudian, pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian ini berjumlah empat informan kunci yang menjadi pengurus adiwiyata di SMA Negeri 72 Jakarta. Selain itu, terdapat informan tambahan yaitu dua orang guru dan satu orang pihak kantin sebagai triangulasi data. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dengan status sekolah adiwiyata, SMA Negeri 72 Jakarta ini mampu untuk membentuk karakter peduli lingkungan pada peserta didik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program Adiwiyata berhasil meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kesadaran peserta didik terhadap isu-isu lingkungan. Melalui keterlibatan aktif dalam kegiatan, peserta didik tidak hanya memahami pentingnya menjaga kebersihan dan kelestarian lingkungan, tetapi juga menginternalisasi nilai-nilai tersebut dalam perilaku sehari-hari. Proses sosialisasi dan penyuluhan yang dilakukan oleh guru turut berperan dalam memperkenalkan konsep keberlanjutan kepada peserta didik. Dampak nyata dari program ini mencakup peningkatan pengetahuan, perubahan perilaku ramah lingkungan, serta dampak sosial dan budaya yang positif di lingkungan sekolah. Kegiatan Adiwiyata menciptakan kedekatan antara peserta didik, guru, dan warga sekolah lainnya, yang pada akhirnya membangun budaya kebersihan yang berkelanjutan. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa program Adiwiyata tidak hanya mendidik peserta didik tentang lingkungan, tetapi juga membentuk karakter mereka sebagai individu yang peduli dan bertanggung jawab terhadap lingkungan. ***** This research has two main objectives. First, to describe the Adiwiyata program activities at SMAN 72 Jakarta. Second, to determine how the behavioral patterns of students change after participating in the Adiwiyata activities at the school. This research employs a qualitative approach using a case study method. Data collection was conducted through interviews, observation, and documentation. The subjects of this study consisted of four key informants who are the Adiwiyata managers at SMAN 72 Jakarta. Additionally, there were two teachers and one canteen staff member as supplementary informants for data triangulation. The results of this study indicate that with its status as an Adiwiyata school, SMA Negeri 72 Jakarta is capable of fostering an environmentally conscious character among its students. The findings show that the Adiwiyata program has successfully increased students' knowledge and awareness of environmental issues. Through active participation in activities, students not only understand the importance of maintaining cleanliness and environmental sustainability but also internalize these values into their daily behavior. The socialization and outreach conducted by teachers also play a significant role in introducing the concept of sustainability to students. The tangible impacts of this program include enhanced knowledge, changes in environmentally friendly behavior, as well as positive social and cultural effects within the school environment. The Adiwiyata activities create closer relationships among students, teachers, and other school members, ultimately building a sustainable culture of cleanliness. Therefore, this research emphasizes that the Adiwiyata program not only educates students about the environment but also shapes their character as individuals who are caring and responsible towards the environment.
