Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh literasi keuangan digital dan e-commerce terhadap perilaku doom spending di kalangan Generasi Z Universitas Negeri Jakarta dengan populasi mahasiswa sebagai representasi Generasi Z di lingkungan kampus. Sampel penelitian adalah mahasiswa aktif Universitas Negeri Jakarta yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling, dengan metode kuantitatif dan analisis regresi berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa literasi keuangan digital berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap perilaku doom spending, yang mengindikasikan bahwa pemahaman terhadap instrumen keuangan digital dan kemudahan transaksi daring tidak selalu membuat responden lebih mampu menahan belanja impulsif, melainkan justru mempermudah pengeluaran cepat sebagai cara meredakan kecemasan, sehingga semakin tinggi literasi keuangan digital maka kecenderungan doom spending juga meningkat. Selain itu, variabel e-commerce terbukti berpengaruh positif dan signifikan sebagai faktor pendorong utama perilaku doom spending, karena kemudahan akses, promosi menarik, dan kecepatan transaksi pada platform belanja daring memicu pengeluaran tidak terencana serta menjadi sarana pelarian dari perasaan negatif atau tekanan informasi buruk, sehingga menjadi faktor paling dominan dalam menjelaskan terjadinya perilaku doom spending pada subjek penelitian. Kata kunci: Literasi Keuangan Digital; E-Commerce; Doom Spending; Generasi Z ***** This study aims to determine the effect of digital financial literacy and e-commerce on doom spending behavior among Generation Z at Jakarta State University, with the student population representing Generation Z on campus. The research sample consisted of active students at Jakarta State University who were selected using purposive sampling techniques, with quantitative methods and multiple regression analysis. The results show that digital financial literacy has a positive and significant effect on doom spending behavior, indicating that understanding digital financial instruments and the ease of online transactions does not always make respondents more able to resist impulsive spending. Instead, it actually facilitates quick spending as a way to relieve anxiety, so that the higher the digital financial literacy, the greater the tendency for doom spending. In addition, the e-commerce variabel was proven to have a positive and significant effect as the main driving factor of doom spending behavior, because the ease of access, attractive promotions, and speed of transactions on online shopping platforms trigger unplanned spending and become a means of escape from negative feelings or bad information pressure, thus becoming the most dominant factor in explaining the occurrence of doom spending behavior in the research subjects.Keywords: Digital Financial Literacy; E-Commerce; Doom Spending; Generation Z
