Abstract

Stres akademik merupakan permasalahan psikologis umum dialami remaja, khususnya di sekolah full-day dengan tuntutan akademik tinggi. Salah satu faktor yang memengaruhi adalah persepsi terhadap ekspektasi orang tua, yang dampaknya dapat dipengaruhi oleh faktor protektif seperti kualitas pertemanan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh persepsi ekspektasi orang tua terhadap stres akademik serta menguji peran moderasi kualitas pertemanan pada siswa putri di SMA full-day khusus putri. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional. Subjek dalam penelitian sebesar 383 siswa putri SMA full-day khusus putri di Jakarta, Bogor, Bekasi, Depok. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah convenience sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah Educational Stress Scale for Adolescents, Perception of Parental Expectation Inventory, dan Friendship Quality Scale. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persepsi ekspektasi orang tua berpengaruh signifikan terhadap stres akademik (p <0.001, R2 = 0.14). Namun, kualitas pertemanan tidak berperan signifikan sebagai variabel moderator dalam hubungan antara kedua variabel tersebut (p = 0.64). Temuan dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tekanan yang dirasakan dari ekspektasi orang tua tetap berkontribusi terhadap stres akademik, terlepas dari kualitas hubungan pertemanan yang dimiliki siswa.***** Academic stress is a common psychological issue experienced by adolescents, particularly in full-day schools with high academic demands. One influencing academic stress is perceptions of parental expectations, the impact of which may be affected by protective factors such as friendship quality. This study aimed to examine the effect of perception parental expectations on academic stress and to test the moderating role of friendship quality among female students in full-day high school for girls. This study employed a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The sample consisted of 383 female students from full-day high school for girls in Jakarta, Bogor, Bekasi, and Depok. The sampling technique used was convenience sampling. The instruments used were the Educational Stress Scale for Adolescents, the Perception of Parental Expectation Inventory, and the Friendship Quality Scale. The result showed that perception parental expectations had a significant effect on academic stress (p < 0.001, R2 = 0.14). However, friendship quality did not significantly moderate the relationship between perception parental expectations and academi stress (p = 0.64). These findings suggest that pressure arising from parental expectations continues to contribute to academic stress regardless of the quality of students’ friendships.
