Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi gambaran kesejahteraan pada peserta didik jenjang Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri di DKI Jakarta. Jenis metode penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif melalui pengumpulan data berupa angket atau kuesioner, yaitu instrumen Mental Health Continuum-Short Form (MHC-SF). Penelitian ini melibatkan 5.961 responden yang ditentukan menggunakan teknik convenience sampling yang berasal dari 14 SMP Negeri di tiga wilayah administratif DKI Jakarta. Teknik analisis data pada penelitian ini ialah teknik analisis statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kesejahteraan peserta didik berada pada kategori sedang, baik itu secara keseluruhan maupun dari aspek emosional, sosial, maupun psikologis. Penelitian ini juga menemukan tidak adanya perbedaan signifikan rerata antara peserta didik laki-laki dan perempuan. Selain itu, terdapat faktor wilayah dan sosial ekonomi yang secara tidak langsung memberikan pengaruh terhadap tingkat kesejahteraan peserta didik. Demikian juga dengan faktor usia, meskipun akan lebih terlihat dalam rentang usia dalam fase perkembangan yang berbeda. ***** This study aims to identify the well-being of students at the public junior high school level in Jakarta. The method of this research is descriptive research with a quantitative approach through data collection in the form of a questionnaire, namely the Mental Health Continuum-Short Form (MHC-SF) instrument. This study involved 5,961 respondents determined using a convenience sampling technique from 14 public junior high schools in three administrative areas of Jakarta. The data analysis technique in this study was descriptive statistical analysis. The results show that the level of student well-being is in the moderate category, both overall and from the emotional, social, and psychological aspects. This study also found no significant difference in the average between male and female students. In addition, there are regional and socioeconomic factors that indirectly influence the level of well-being of students. Likewise, age is one of the factor, although it is more visible in the more wide age range and at different developmental stages.
