Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis fenomena implikatur dalam sebuah acara podcast. Objek penelitian ini adalah sebuah acara podcast yang memiliki nama acara #Viniar di kanal youtube milik Volix Media. Data yang diberikan berupa narasi tentang percakapan-percakapan yang mengandung jenis implikatur dan fungsi implikatur pada acara tersebut. Sumber data berupa tiga video acara #Viniar yang diunggah oleh kanal youtube Volix Media, video pertama merupakan video yang menghadirkan Gusti Irwan Wibowo sebagai bintang tamu, video kedua menghadirkan Coki Pardede, dan video ketiga menghadirkan Ernest Prakarsan dan istrinya Meira. Penelitian ini menggunakan fokus teori implikatur menurut Paul Grice, dengan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat 111 data percakapan yang mengandung implikatur dari ketiga video yang dianalisis, ditemukan total 17 data percakapan yang mengandung implikatur konvensional, dan 94 data percakapan yang mengandung implikatur non-konvensional, dengan fungsi tuturan ekspresif yang ditemukan sebanyak 55 data dan menjadi fungsi implikatur yang dominan dibanding dengan fungsi lainnya, diikuti dengan fungsi asertif sebanyak 32 data, fungsi direktif sebanyak 20 data, fungsi komisif 3 data, dan terakhir fungsi deklaratif yang hanya terdapat 1 data. Temuan ini menunjukan bahwa dari ketiga video yang digunakan oleh peneliti sebagai objek, pada acara podcast #Viniar ini, bintang tamu dan penyiar sering menggunakan makna tersirat dalam menyampaikan suatu hal, khususnya dalam percakapan yang bersifat sensitif atau mengundang kontroversi. Sementara fungsi ekspresif cenderung lebih banyak terjadi karena ketiga bintang tamu yang hadir dalam acara ini dikenal sebagai seseorang yang periang dan kerap melontarkan lelucon, dan dua diantaranya merupakan seorang komedian, sementara satunya merupakan seorang musisi yang humoris. Penelitian ini memiliki kontribusi dalam membantu memahami khalayak luas mengenai fenomena implikatur yang dapat terjadi dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. ***** This study aims to analyze the phenomenon of implicature within a podcast program. The object of this research is a podcast show titled #Viniar on the Volix Media YouTube channel. The data provided consists of narratives of conversations containing types and functions of implicature found in the show. The data sources comprise three #Viniar videos uploaded by the Volix Media YouTube channel: the first video features Gusti Irwan Wibowo as the guest; the second features Coki Pardede; and the third features Ernest Prakasa and his wife, Meira. This research utilizes Paul Grice’s theory of implicature with a descriptive qualitative method. The results show that there are 111 conversational data points containing implicatures across the three analyzed videos. These include 17 instances of conventional implicature and 94 instances of non-conventional implicature. Regarding speech functions, the expressive function was the most dominant with 55 data points, followed by the assertive function (32), directive function (20), commissive function (3), and finally the declarative function (1). These findings indicate that in the three videos studied on the #Viniar podcast, both guests and hosts frequently use implied meanings to convey messages, particularly in conversations that are sensitive or controversial. Meanwhile, the prevalence of the expressive function is attributed to the guests' personalities; two are comedians and one is a humorous musician, all of whom are known for being cheerful and frequently making jokes. This research contributes to helping the general public understand the phenomenon of implicature as it occurs in daily life.
