Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi pendidikan karakter berbasis nilai yang dijiwai oleh lima Nilai Dasar Strada (Melayani, Jujur, Disiplin, Peduli, Unggul) melalui pengembangan budaya sekolah di SDS Strada Santo Paulus. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data triangulasi (observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan studi dokumen). Hasil penelitian mengungkap tiga temuan utama yang saling berkaitan: (1) Strategi implementasi berbasis kelas melalui integrasi kurikulum, manajemen kelas, dan metode pembelajaran; (2) Strategi implementasi berbasis budaya sekolah yang diwujudkan melalui empat pilar: nilai dan keyakinan (internalisasi 5 Nilai Dasar dan 7 Kode Etik Guru), norma sosial (budaya 5S dan antre), simbol dan praktik liturgi (doa, tanda salib, Misa), serta tradisi rutin tahunan (Hari Pangan Sedunia, Bulan Kitab Suci); (3) Perwujudan karakter humanis-religius siswa, di mana setiap nilai dasar Strada termanifestasi dalam dimensi hubungan horizontal (sesama) dan vertikal (Tuhan). Penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa efektivitas pendidikan karakter bergantung pada pendekatan menyeluruh (Whole School Approach) yang mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai inti ke dalam seluruh aspek budaya sekolah, menciptakan ekosistem yang konsisten untuk pembentukan habitus atau kebiasaan karakter yang menetap. Sintesis humanis-religius menjadi kekhasan dan kekuatan model pendidikan karakter di sekolah Katolik ini. ***** This research aims to analyze the implementation of value-based character education, inspired by the five Core Values of Strada (Service, Honesty, Discipline, Care, Excellence), through the development of school culture at SDS Strada Santo Paulus. The study employs a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques using triangulation (observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis). The findings reveal three interrelated main findings: (1) Classroom-based implementation strategies through curriculum integration, classroom management, and instructional methods; (2) School-culture-based implementation strategies manifested through four pillars: values and beliefs (internalization of the 5 Core Values and the 7 Code of Ethics for Catholic Teachers), social norms (the 5S culture and queuing discipline), symbols and liturgical practices (prayer, the Sign of the Cross, Mass), and annual routine traditions (World Food Day, National Bible Month); (3) The realization of students' humanist-religious character, where each core value of Strada is manifested in both horizontal (interpersonal) and vertical (divine) dimensions. The study concludes that the effectiveness of character education depends on a comprehensive Whole School Approach that integrates core values into all aspects of school culture, creating a consistent ecosystem for the formation of habitus or ingrained character habits. The humanist-religious synthesis represents the uniqueness and strength of this character education model in a Catholic school context.
