Abstract

Indonesian K-Pop Style memiliki banyak prestasi dan eksistensi di media sosial dengan Dance Cover K-Pop-nya, proses belajar untuk mendapatkan pencapaian tersebut pun menari untuk diteliti. Studi ini menganalisis proses belajar Dance Cover K-Pop sebagai praktik seni yang berkembang dalam industri hiburan populer pada komunitas Indonesian K-Pop Style (IKS) yang berprestasi dan eksis di media sosial. Latar belakang ketertarikan anggota IKS, tahapan pembelajaran, serta gerakan dalam koreografi The Chase oleh Heart2Heart menjadi fokus utama penelitian. Studi ini menggunakan metode fenomenologi dengan pendekatan kualitatif untuk menggali pengalaman anggota IKS dalam mempelajari koreografi tersebut. Teori experiential learning dari David Kolb digunakan untuk menganalisis proses belajar yang meliputi empat tahapan Experiential Learning. Data dikumpul dengan teknik observasi, wawancara, studi pustaka, dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis dengan tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan verifikasi data. Keabsahan data dilakukan melalui triangulasi sumber. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ketertarikan anggota IKS dipengaruhi oleh faktor eksternal seperti lagu, koreografi, dan idol K-Pop, serta faktor internal berupa keinginan menampilkan kemampuan tari. Penelitian ini menghasilkan strategi pembelajaran 5SuperM yang meliputi motivasi, pengamatan video dance practice, penentuan detail gerak, pemahaman karakter idol, dan integrasi penampilan. Gerakan dalam koreografi The Chase mencakup Traveling with slides, double line and flips, straight line switch and swing, body wave/body roll, knee drop, dan stick and roll (variation). Kesimpulannya penelitian ini memiliki kontribusi teoritis dalam pengembangan ruang lingkup kajian pendidikan tari, melalui kaitan dengan teori experiential learning dengan proses belajar Dance Cover K-Pop dengan temuan strategi pembelajaran 5SuperM. Sekaligus berkontribusi praktis memberikan panduan bagi penggemar dan komunitas Dance Cover K-Pop, serta pendidik tari, peneliti tari dalam mempelajari Dance Cover K-Pop. Indonesian K-Pop Style has achieved many accomplishments and gained a strong presence on social media with its Dance Cover K-Pop. The learning process to achieve these accomplishments is also worth studying.This study analyzes the learning process of K-Pop Dance Cover as an evolving artistic practice within the popular entertainment industry in the Indonesian K-Pop Style (IKS) community, which has achieved awards and maintains a strong social media presence. The background of IKS members' interest, learning stages, and movement variations in the choreography "The Chase" by Heart2Heart form the main research focus. This study employs phenomenological methods with a qualitative approach to explore IKS members' experiences in learning that choreography. David Kolb's experiential learning theory is used to analyze the learning process, encompassing four experiential learning stages. Data were collected through observation, interviews, literature review, and documentation techniques. Data analysis followed stages of data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. Data validity was ensured through source triangulation. Research findings indicate that IKS members' interest is influenced by external factors such as songs, choreography, and K-Pop idols, as well as internal factors like the desire to showcase dance abilities. This study produces the 5SuperM learning strategy, comprising motivation, observation of dance practice videos, determination of movement details, understanding of idol characters, and performance integration. Movement variations in "The Chase" choreography include traveling with slides, double line and flips, straight line switch and swing, body wave/body roll, knee drop, and stick and roll (variation). In conclusion, this study contributes theoretically to expanding the scope of dance education studies through links between experiential learning theory and the K-Pop Dance Cover learning process, with the 5SuperM strategy findings. It also provides practical contributions as guidance for K-Pop Dance Cover fans and communities, as well as dance educators and researchers in learning K-Pop Dance Cover.
