Abstract
Pembelajaran musik klasik, khususnya instrumen Violin, memiliki peran penting dalam pengembangan keterampilan musikal dan profesional peserta didik di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) bidang seni. Namun, pembelajaran Violin bagi siswa pemula masih menghadapi berbagai tantangan, terutama dalam penguasaan teknik dasar yang membutuhkan proses bertahap, konsisten, dan terstruktur. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pembelajaran Violin kelas X di SMK Negeri 2 Cibinong yang meliputi gambaran pembelajaran, metode dan model pembelajaran, tahapan pembelajaran, serta evaluasi pembelajaran teknik dasar Violin. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Subjek penelitian adalah guru dan siswa kelas X program keahlian musik di SMK Negeri 2 Cibinong. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi pembelajaran selama delapan pertemuan, wawancara dengan guru pengampu, serta dokumentasi pembelajaran. Analisis data dilakukan melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran Violin kelas X di SMK Negeri 2 Cibinong dilaksanakan secara sistematis dan berorientasi pada penguasaan teknik dasar. Metode pembelajaran yang dominan digunakan adalah demonstrasi dan drill, dengan model pembelajaran praktik langsung yang disesuaikan dengan karakteristik siswa pemula. Tahapan pembelajaran dimulai dari pengenalan instrumen, teknik memegang bow dan Violin, posisi tubuh, teknik menggesek, hingga latihan long note pada seluruh senar. Evaluasi pembelajaran dilakukan secara berkelanjutan melalui penilaian praktik yang menitikberatkan pada aspek holding, bowing, open string, whole bow, legato, dan staccato. Simpulan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran teknik dasar Violin di kelas X SMK Negeri 2 Cibinong telah berjalan efektif dalam membangun fondasi keterampilan bermain Violin siswa. Pembelajaran yang menekankan pengulangan, koreksi langsung, serta evaluasi berbasis teknik dasar berkontribusi positif terhadap kesiapan siswa untuk melanjutkan ke materi Violin pada tahap berikutnya. ***** Classical music education, particularly violin instruction, plays an important role in developing students’ musical skills and professional competencies in vocational secondary schools specializing in the arts. However, violin instruction for beginner students still faces various challenges, especially in mastering basic techniques that require a gradual, consistent, and structured learning process. This study aims to describe violin instruction for Grade X students at SMK Negeri 2 Cibinong, focusing on the overall learning process, teaching methods and models, instructional stages, and the evaluation of basic violin techniques. This study employed a qualitative approach using a descriptive method. The research subjects were the violin teacher and Grade X students of the music program at SMK Negeri 2 Cibinong. Data were collected through classroom observations conducted over eight meetings, interviews with the instructor, and analysis of instructional documents. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that violin instruction for Grade X students at SMK Negeri 2 Cibinong is implemented systematically and is oriented toward the mastery of basic techniques. The dominant teaching methods applied are demonstration and drill, supported by a direct practice-based learning model adapted to the characteristics of beginner students. The instructional stages include introduction to the instrument, bow and violin holding techniques, body posture, bowing techniques, and long note exercises on all strings. Learning evaluation is conducted continuously through practical assessments focusing on technical aspects such as holding, bowing, open strings, whole bow, legato, and staccato. In conclusion, the instruction of basic violin techniques for Grade X students at SMK Negeri 2 Cibinong has been effectively implemented in establishing a strong technical foundation for students. Learning activities that emphasize repetition, direct correction, and technique-based evaluation contribute positively to students’ readiness to progress to more advanced violin materials.
