Abstract

Berdasarkan data Kementerian Kesehatan Republik Indonesia, rata-rata usia menarche di Indonesia adalah 12,4 tahun sebesar 60% , 11–12 tahun sebesar 30,3%, 13 tahun sebesar 30%, dan 9–10 tahun sebesar 2,6%. Data tersebut menunjukkan bahwa anak usia 9–10 tahun telah memasuki fase awal risiko menarche sehingga memerlukan edukasi sejak dini untuk membangun kesiapan fisik, mental, dan emosional. Penelitian penciptaan ini bertujuan merancang media edukasi berbasis animasi motion graphic sebagai sarana pembelajaran alternatif yang informatif, menarik, dan komunikatif guna meningkatkan pemahaman, kesiapan, serta sikap positif anak perempuan dalam menghadapi menarche. Metode yang digunakan adalah design thinking yang meliputi tahapan empathize, define, ideate, prototype, dan test. Proses penciptaan diawali dengan observasi, wawancara, dan kuesioner, yang kemudian dilanjutkan dengan perancangan konsep, visual, pembuatan animasi, serta uji coba media kepada 19 siswi usia 9–10 tahun di SD IT ICMA Pandeglang. Hasil karya berupa animasi motion graphic edukatif yang memuat materi tentang menarche dan siklus menstruasi lainya, yang disusun berdasarkan pengalaman nyata remaja putri yang sudah menstruasi serta masukan dari narasumber ahli. Hasil implementasi menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman, rasa percaya diri, serta penurunan kecemasan anak terhadap menstruasi. Selain itu, anak menilai media animasi sebagai sarana pembelajaran yang menarik, menyenangkan, dan mudah dipahami. Dengan pemanfaatan platform digital, media ini berpotensi disebarluaskan secara luas sebagai sarana edukasi kesehatan reproduksi yang adaptif, mudah diakses, serta relevan dengan karakteristik generasi digital. Kata kunci: Menarche, animasi motion graphic, media edukasi, design thinking, anak usia sekolah dasar, kesehatan reproduksi. ***** Based on data from the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, the average age of menarche in Indonesia is 12.4 years by 60%, 11–12 years by 30.3%, 13 years by 30%, and 9–10 years by 2.6%. The data shows that children aged 9–10 years have entered the early phase of menarche risk so they need early education to build physical, mental, and emotional readiness. This creative research aims to design educational media based on motion graphic animation as an alternative learning tool that is informative, interesting, and communicative to increase understanding, readiness, and positive attitudes of girls in facing menarche. The method used is design thinking which includes the stages of empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test. The creative process begins with observation, interviews, and questionnaires, which are then continued with concept design, visuals, animation creation, and media trials on 19 female students aged 9–10 years at SD IT ICMA Pandeglang. The resulting work is an educational motion graphic animation containing material about menarche and other aspects of the menstrual cycle. It is based on the real-life experiences of menstruating adolescent girls and input from expert sources. Implementation results indicate increased understanding, self-confidence, and decreased anxiety about menstruation among children. Furthermore, children found the animation media to be an engaging, enjoyable, and easy-to-understand learning tool. By utilizing digital platforms, this media has the potential to be widely disseminated as an adaptive, accessible, and relevant reproductive health education tool for the digital generation.
