Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penggunaan maksim kerja sama dalam percakapan antara guru dan siswa pada proses pembelajaran di kelas. Fokus penelitian meliputi jenis-jenis maksim yang muncul serta kaitannya dengan metode dan materi pembelajaran yang digunakan guru. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Data penelitian berupa tuturan lisan guru dan siswa yang diperoleh melalui teknik observasi, perekaman, dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa selama empat kali pertemuan ditemukan sebanyak 115 maksim, yang terdiri atas maksim kuantitas 34%, maksim kualitas 32%, dan maksim relevansi 34%. Maksim yang paling dominan adalah maksim relevansi. Dominasi maksim relevansi berkaitan dengan metode pembelajaran ceramah serta materi pembelajaran yang mendorong siswa untuk aktif memberikan tanggapan dan menjawab pertanyaan guru. Selain itu, hasil wawancara menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan metode pembelajaran yang interaktif berpengaruh terhadap meningkatnya partisipasi siswa dalam komunikasi kelas. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode dan materi pembelajaran berperan penting dalam membentuk tingkat komunikasi dan penggunaan maksim kerja sama dalam proses pembelajaran. Kata Kunci : Percakapan, Maksim kerja sama, Komunikasi kelas, Pembelajaran bahasa. ***** This research aims to describe the use of cooperative principles in conversations between teachers and students during classroom learning activities. The focus of this study includes the types of maxims that appear and their relationship with teaching methods and learning materials used by the teacher. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach. The data consisted of spoken utterances produced by teachers and students, collected through observation, recording, and interviews. The findings reveal that a total of 115 maxims were identified across four classroom meetings, consisting of quantity maxims 34%, quality maxims 32%, and relevance maxims 34%. Among these, relevance maxims were the most dominant. The dominance of relevance maxims is closely related to the lecture-based teaching method and learning materials that encouraged students to actively respond and provide feedback during classroom interactions. Furthermore, interview results indicate that interactive teaching methods contribute to increased student participation in classroom communication. Therefore, it can be concluded that teaching methods and learning materials play a significant role in shaping classroom communication and the use of cooperative maxims in learning activities.
