Abstract
Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk melihat apakah terdapat pengaruh fear of missing out tehadap perilaku impulsive buying pada mahasiswa pengguna tiktok. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif. Pengambilan sampling dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik non-probality jenis purposive sampling dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 208 mahasiswa aktif dan menggunakan aplikasi tiktok. Instrumen dalam pengambilan data menggunakan alat ukur dari Online Fear Of Missing Out (ON-FOMO), Impulsive Buying Tendency (IBT) yang telah dilakukan adaptasi sesuai konteks penelitian. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh antara fear of missing out tehadap perilaku impulsive buying pada mahasiswa pengguna tiktok. Kontribusi yang diberikan dari variabel fear of missing out terhadap perilaku impulsive buying sebesar 41,5% sehingga fear of missing out memiliki berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap perilaku impulsive buying pada mahasiswa pengguna tiktok. ***** This study was conducted to examine the effect of fear of missing out on impulsive buying behavior among university students who use TikTok. The research employed a quantitative approach. The sampling technique used was non-probability sampling with a purposive sampling method, involving 208 active university students who use the TikTok application. Data were collected using the Online Fear of Missing Out (ON-FOMO) scale and the Impulsive Buying Tendency (IBT) scale, which had been adapted to fit the context of this study. The results showed that fear of missing out has a significant effect on impulsive buying behavior among TikTok-using university students. The contribution of the fear of missing out variable to impulsive buying behavior was 41.5%. Therefore, it can be concluded that fear of missing out has a positive and significant effect on impulsive buying behavior among university students who use TikTok.
