Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pendanaan pendidikan melalui Bank Wakaf Mikro (BWM) di Pondok Pesantren NU Al-Manshuriyah Ta’limusshibyan, Lombok Tengah, dengan tujuan akhir merumuskan model manajemen pendanaan pendidikan yang efektif, kontekstual, dan berbasis pemberdayaan masyarakat. Fokus kajian meliputi lima aspek utama, yaitu: (1) peran Bank Wakaf Mikro dalam memberdayakan masyarakat sekitar pesantren; (2) strategi pemberdayaan masyarakat oleh Bank Wakaf Mikro guna menjamin keberlanjutan pembiayaan pendidikan; (3) dampak program pendanaan Pendidikan melalui skema Bank Wakaf Mikro ; (4) tantangan dan kendala yang dihadapi dalam implementasi pendanaan pendidikan; serta (5) rumusan model pendanaan pendidikan yang kontekstual dan aplikatif bagi pesantren. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan studi dokumentasi selama satu tahun. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Bank Wakaf Mikro berperan sebagai motor penggerak ekonomi masyarakat berbasis pesantren, menciptakan kemandirian finansial di lingkungan sekitar; (2) bantuan keuangan mikro meningkatkan kemampuan masyarakat dalam memenuhi kebutuhan pendidikan anak secara lebih teratur dan berkelanjutan; (3) pendanaan kolektif dari masyarakat berkontribusi nyata terhadap keberlangsungan operasional pesantren; (4) kegiatan Bank Wakaf Mikro turut meningkatkan literasi keuangan dan kapasitas manajerial masyarakat; serta (5) model Pendanaan pendidikan berbasis pemberdayaan masyarakat melalui Bank Wakaf Mikro yang bersifat kontekstual dan aplikatif.Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa sinergi antara lembaga keuangan mikro berbasis wakaf dan institusi pesantren mampu menciptakan ekosistem pendidikan berkelanjutan yang mandiri, partisipatif, dan berkeadilan sosial, sekaligus menjadi inovasi dalam pengelolaan pendanaan pendidikan di Indonesia. Kata Kunci : Pemberdayaan Masyarakat, Bank Wakaf Mikro, Pendidikan Pesantren FUNDING EDUCATION THROUGH COMMUNITY EMPOWERMENT (Case Study of Micro Waqf Bank at NU Al-Manshuriyah Ta’limusshibyan Islamic Boarding School, Sangkong, Bonder, Central Lombok) SABOLAH ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze educational funding through the Micro Waqf Bank (BWM) at the NU Al-Manshuriyah Ta'limusshibyan Islamic Boarding School, Central Lombok, with the ultimate goal of formulating an effective, contextual, and community empowerment-based educational funding management model. The focus of the study covers five main aspects, namely: (1) the role of the Micro Waqf Bank in empowering the community around the Islamic boarding school; (2) community empowerment strategies by the Micro Waqf Bank to ensure the sustainability of educational funding; (3) the impact of the educational funding program through the Micro Waqf Bank scheme; (4) challenges and obstacles faced in the implementation of educational funding; and (5) the formulation of a contextual and applicable educational funding model for Islamic boarding schools. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection was carried out through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation studies for one year. The results of the study show that: (1) the Micro Waqf Bank plays a role as a driving force for the Islamic boarding school-based community economy, creating financial independence in the surrounding environment; (2) microfinance assistance increases the community's ability to meet children's educational needs in a more regular and sustainable manner; (3) collective funding from the community contributes significantly to the operational sustainability of Islamic boarding schools; (4) Micro Waqf Bank activities also increase financial literacy and community managerial capacity; and (5) the educational funding model is based on community empowerment through the Micro Waqf Bank which is contextual and applicable. These findings confirm that the synergy between waqf-based microfinance institutions and Islamic boarding school institutions is able to create a sustainable education ecosystem that is independent, participatory, and socially just, as well as being an innovation in the management of educational funding in Indonesia..
