Abstract
Permasalahan limbah organik rumah tangga di Komplek Ardio, Kelurahan Cibogor, masih menunjukkan rendahnya praktik pemilahan serta pemanfaatan limbah dapur secara mandiri. Kondisi tersebut berpotensi menimbulkan pencemaran lingkungan dan menunjukkan perlunya edukasi berbasis praktik bagi masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan pelatihan eco-enzyme sebagai upaya meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan ibu rumah tangga dalam mengelola limbah organik rumah tangga. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan penelitian tindakan atau action research model Kurt Lewin dengan empat tahap, yaitu perencanaan (planning), pelaksanaan tindakan (action), observasi (observation), dan refleksi (reflection). Subjek penelitian terdiri atas ibu rumah tangga di Komplek Ardio, Kelurahan Cibogor. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui angket terbuka, observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan teknik deskriptif kualitatif melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, serta penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman peserta mengenai konsep, manfaat, bahan, dan tahapan pembuatan eco-enzyme. Peningkatan tersebut terlihat dari kemampuan peserta menjelaskan kembali materi, membedakan limbah organik yang cocok untuk pembuatan produk eco-enzyme, menyebutkan manfaat eco-enzyme, serta mengikuti praktik pembuatan secara langsung. Pelatihan juga memperlihatkan perubahan sikap peserta terhadap pentingnya pemilahan sampah dan pemanfaatan limbah dapur. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pelatihan eco-enzyme berbasis praktik dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan ibu rumah tangga dalam mengelola limbah organik secara mandiri dan berkelanjutan. ***** The issue of household organic waste in Komplek Ardio, Cibogor Village, indicates limited practices of waste separation and independent utilization of kitchen waste. This condition has the potential to cause environmental pollution and highlights the need for practice-based environmental education within the community. This study aims to describe the implementation of eco-enzyme training as an effort to improve housewives’ understanding and skills in managing household organic waste. This study employed an action research approach based on Kurt Lewin’s model, consisting of four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were housewives living in Komplek Ardio, Cibogor Village. Data were collected through open-ended questionnaires, observation, interviews, and documentation. The data were analyzed using descriptive qualitative techniques through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results showed an improvement in participants’ understanding of the concept, benefits, materials, and procedures of eco-enzyme production. This improvement was reflected in the participants’ ability to explain the material, identify organic waste suitable for eco-enzyme production, mention the benefits of eco-enzyme, and participate directly in the production practice. The training also indicated changes in participants’ attitudes toward the importance of waste separation and kitchen waste utilization. This study concludes that practice-based eco-enzyme training can improve housewives’ knowledge and skills in managing organic waste independently and sustainably.
